My guess is that more Nets trades are coming. Otherwise I don't understand why they didn't wait for more offers for Irving.

Eh, honestly their best bet might be trying to flip Dinwiddie for another player and pick and waiting for the summer to explore trading Durant again. They’re deep in purgatory right now and need to wash away what they can from the Harden trade.

I know we all laughed at it, but Finney-Smith *was* available for a star!

Giannis elsewhere. We need the HOU 2nd to slide past SAS to 33rd.
Maybe to Utah for Kelly...

I honestly don’t think Doncic is mature enough to handle and endure what’s to come. Doesn’t matter if they consulted him prior to the trade.

I would bet that whatever offers were going to be out there for Kyrie gained clarity quickly.

BRK -- I'd keep this together: IF KD can stay healthy, they've got a decent supporting cast for him -- Dinwiddie's solid, they've got shooters and a sort-of-defender or two (including now Finney-Smith), Claxton is making a name for himself -- and if Simmons can return to making an impact, I honestly don't see why you'd pull the plug on that before seeing what they do this spring, and planning to run in back next year.

Dorian Finney Smith is a hard working true professional and will be good for the Nets throwing Spencer dimwitty and now you may have a much better Net team than with Kyrie still playing....

Consulted with Luka before the deal means nothing….of course he wants the help. And just like everyone of my buddies who got together with a toxic significant other they always think it’ll be different with them

Durant’s in Brooklyn to win chip- at least in theory. Dfs is a nice player. But he’s not keeping Durant in Brooklyn imo long term

Glad someone made a substantial trade,
and as everyone's favorite Jimmy Stew said,
the Lakers had no interest in Kyrie.

If Kyrie's on his best behaviour for the rest of the season and
Playoffs, Dallas could be formidable. Luka has desperately needed an
impactful Co-Star for awhile and I'm glad the Celtics are done with
them this season... or perhaps not!

No I don't think so, because it's not actually East vs West anymore. It's Team LeBron vs Team Giannis. So I don't think anything changes with the starters.

I can't get it out of my head that Finney Smith and Royce 0'Neal are the same player.

DFS or Dinwiddie, either one, would be nice additions to the Cs, if the Nets were blowing it up...
Sadly no.
