That's the plan. Won't be as active at first but will be watching for that 40k to creep up faster then we think.

As long as the Load Management Era continues, Lebron's record is safe.

I actually had very interest or care about this up until just now. This is a truly remarkable amazing record to break. In the game of hoops the goal is to score the rock. He’s done it more than anyone else ever has. As I get older i more and more appreciate the guys that can bring greatness year in and year out. There have been better scorers for moments of time but the genetic freak mixed with a desire to be great is truly something special. Giannis is the closest we’ve seen to it…and honestly not all that close.

good job lebron let’s get it done

The number flips. From 63 to 36 points away from the new record after LeBron scored 27 points vs the Pelicans.

With 36 it can very well be the next game we have a new scoring champion.

Kareem - 38,387
LeBron - 38 352

Next game vs OKC Thunder Tuesday 2/5/22 10:00 pm est

Enjoy the ride.

And cheers to Kareem for holding down the record for 38 years.

Giannis the only one that is even in the ballpark to being on track and 10k points. I doubt Giannis catches up after a slow start.

Would have to be a young guy we don't know of yet. Ja already missed too much time, don't see luka doing it. Maybe Tatum? Feel booker or Young flame out too early to get it.

The more he scores, the closer he gets to the record.

I did some calculations. His hypothesis seems reasonable.

Need some more data, though.

Lebron 38 and and his ppg is 30. This happened how many times in history? It would take someone goat candidate like lebron and none of them is a goat candidate.

Young will become completely unplayable at some point due to his defense and size. I think he'll be more like Lou Williams at some point and simply won't be able to play enough seasons and minutes to truly get up there in the accumulated stats categories.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

I wonder if instead of the OKC game, LeBron purposely takes it easy to try and get it against Milwaukee on Thursday.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

Some people are just haters and can't acknowledge the rare combination of factors allowing LeBron to break this record:
1. Being able to play at a high level for multiple years
2. Skipping college

We are witnessing a rare combination here. Enjoy the greatness while you can.

I feel like a 48 year old LeBron will still be better than half the league so these current guys better hope the anti-aging cure isn't available while LeBron still has knees!
