he has playing time. he just wants to do more in those minutes. aka not stand in the corner on offense.

We used to just trade just for the **** of it. The pendulum has swung the other directly, completely.
The thing is, I was pretty pissed every year we ran it back with Demar. Their patience ultimately worked out for us getting Kawhi so maybe I’m crazy. I just can’t watch this team anymore. Haven’t been able to watch them since lost Marc and Kyle.
Kawhi just became magically available though. It was a perfect storm. If kawhi wasn't they probably run it back. That's the problem though. You cant just keep holding on to these guys hoping and praying some disgruntled star that perfectly fits your team becomes available in a trade. That never happens. Need to be proactive this time around.

If the Kawhi trade didnt happen, the team was still stacked with talent which had been accumulated and developed over time. Siakam was on the verge of a massive breakout and they still owned all their 1st round picks. Good situation overall.

Raptors definitely need to be careful of any Rudy Gay type trades (addition by subtraction +depth) if they're planning to tank
