Maybe the coach will think twice about these putrid all-bench units? Lol yeah right.

Lazy and uninspired effort. To get outhustled so badly by a team on a B2B from an OT game is embarrassing.

At the same time, we need to rest Embiid and Harden, so the bench has to play, it is what it is, if not people would blame Doc for running them into the ground.

If Doc let one of Embiid/Harden stayed on while Randle was there towards the end of 1st qt, the outcome would have been way different. But it happened so fast, he ain't the one to react that quickly.
Backup big or length please, Morey.
We need to recognize missmatches faster and attack them. I'm starting to get really mad at it, it's the seth thing again.
Fournier played with 5 fouls the entire 4th and we never took advantage of it, not to mention fouling him out would allowed us to get more stops.
I cannot believe Doc called like 3 timeouts and never designed one play to switch Harden, Embiid or Tobias on him.

Are the Sixers really standing pat with this?
I mean, I guess you give Glenn no excuses so it's easier to fire him after the 2nd round exit...

The idea that this team has been playing well is laughable. I don't care what their record is the past 2 months.
The coach is generally clueless and the GM has done virtually nothing helpful for 3 years.

Just a coincidence, I'm sure.

Otherwise Rivers wouldn't be the affable guy we all know and love

There are ways of utilizing the bench while at the same time giving your starters rest without causing a complete breakdown that competent coaches understand how to do.
Unfortunately, we're not blessed with that asset here.

My god what a horrible effort all throughout the game. Harden and Harris were terrible. Maxey is to hit and miss. It’s just not good enough

Re: Game 52: 76ers @ Knicks
the bench unit with a competent center is fine in theory...however you have to be able to quickly pivot if Maxey isn't on fire and Shake can't get to his spots because thats the whole game plan for that unit. Tonight was lost in that quick burst with Trez out there that allowed the Knicks to regain their composure and feel like they had a chance instead of burying them. Biid should have played the whole first to allievate this. This issue isn't JUST the lineup because it has worked in the last few weeks as well..you just can't stick to it when its not performing well.
The saying is that its a game of runs but we often just sit on said run with no adjustments and expect things to change.
Its Doc's biggest flaw as a coach. He doesnt adjust and when he finally does the damage is already done. Keep saying it but while yeah Ben imploded against the Hawks, that series was lost when Doc had Danny on Trae and then Seth on Huerter ...each time by the time he changed, those two where in a rhythm and it didn't matter. Tonight, we finally got the ball out of Brunson's hands and got some stops but it was again too late.
THAT being said, its one game, not gonna win em all, and the team didn't have it offensively tonight anyway. Some real tests coming up this week..and hopefully some moves

So Doc was slow on rotations? Fournier turned into prime Klay. Is what it is ottno
But yeah this team needs work
Would be great if we could grab Okongwu for Thybulle.

They're not that bad mixed with starters, the issue is when docs play them together
Ding Ding Ding! I actually think old man Tucker is a better center than Harrell lol

Re: Game 52: 76ers @ Knicks
Nothing new to say. Our bench units weakest link is the center position. We need a legit backup center first and foremost. It is where we bleed after we get a lead built. Iam sure Morey knows this.

I don't know if Maxey is the guy to shoulder the second unit scoring. He's much more effective playing off Harden. I think we should try Harris to be that guy and sub Maxey for Tobias in the starting lineup. Of course a thing like that would never be tried.

Re: Game 52: 76ers @ Knicks
Paul Reed might stink but Harrell gives you absolutely nothing at the most important defensive position on the court. He's done being anywhere near a replacement level player. They should waive him.
