Now what I don't get, is playing Barton at this point. Dude doesn't even fake playing within a team concept. Shot jacks, doesn't play a lick of defense, overdribbles. I guess we are trying to showcase him, but maybe that's not a good thing at this point.

I live out in Denver now, and was listening to sports radio for a brief moment yesterday, and even they were talking about how bad of a player Barton was with Denver, shot jacking, playing awful defense.

I was at the game (already on the Metro heading out). What stood out was lack of effort all around. And lack of offensive scheme… nothing is designed to go toward the basket. Reincarnation of the Weave and Heave.

Heart. Like when the Nets beat the Wizards without their three top guys. That's it...show some heart.

Losing like this at home is gutless.

Heard Drew Gooden say tonight at half that if the Wiz could lose the last two games up 20 plus at half they likewise could also win tonight down 20 plus at half. Well, that ain’t happening. Why are the Wiz always on the wrong end of everything?

The Nets are at home, up three against a full Clippers squad with George and Leonard. I don't expect them to win, but they're showing some heart against a full squad with two legit stars.

The Wizards almost always fold when one of their little three is sitting.

Wizards are 6-2 without Porzingis
8-14 without Beal
0-2 without Kuzma (against the Celtics and Cavs so two of the better teams in the league)

All about heart, but sometimes there are schedule loses. The third game in four nights after two deflating losses against a team with the 5th best record in the league, best defense in the league, and completely healthy (except for maybe Rubio), you sometimes are going are going to get humbled.

I'm all for piling on, but sometimes the whining seems like overkill. Denver got beat by 30 the other night missing a lot of their players, sometimes the other team has an intrinsic advantage, doesn't mean the team didn't have heart.

I'll agree with you there, that WUJ's offense even on good nights lacks imagination and is predictable. Too much force feeding, not making defenses work hard enough, etc. There will inevitably be a group saying this is the modern NBA and there's no such thing as team basketball, that you have to force feed your best scorers, yadda, yadda, yadda. But damn Cleveland is a perfect example of a team that really spreads the love around. Allen isn't a great scorer by any means, but his team put him in a position to succeed and rewards his hustle elsewhere with giving the guy the rock in places he is comfortable.

That requires Tommy not trading the Lakers 2021 1st to trade down and drafting Cam Thomas instead.

Perhaps if that kid was on the roster they’d have won the last two out of three.
