This is interesting. The Nets are desperate and probably willing to mortgage the future to win now.

I know people don't like Ben, but this is a buy low op for us. Claxton I don't think anyone would argue not wanting he is an absolute stud.

I see Fred and Pascal both going to Nets for a haul. They go for the win now. Financially Freddie probably will resign with a big market team like the Nets.

Something like Pascal, Fred, Boucher for Simmons, Claxton, Harris, Cam Thomas and Curry and 2 firsts and a swap.

If we do this, maybe we can end up keeping OG and Trent.

Simmons - Thomas
Trent - Curry
OG - Harris
Barnes - Young
Claxton - Precious - Koloko

Our starting line will be a defensive beast features 3 potential DPOY. Our second line will be lights out 3 shooting. You could Argue starting Thomas at the one and moving Simmons to the 3 or 4 spot interchangeable with Barnes and deal OG for more depth.

Wow, I'm getting old. Now I can't remember Randle McMurphy's previous username (something about someone heavy). But he lost that account because he was spamming anti-Bosh takes incessantly.

The issue with a guy like Claxton is he will be hard to extend unless your team has significant cap space. He is making 8.5 on a two year deal. Extending him in the off-season is impossible, so will have to be done come free agency. Brooklyn is also well aware of that. Orlando has the same problem with Bol Bol as does Atlanta with Dejounte.

Nets probably don't have enough for Pascal, let alone if they throw Simmons into the deal on top of it. Buying low doesn't mean paying alot for a negative asset.

I don't see it happening but Claxton would be one heck of an addition. Young, athletic big man who can guard out on the perimeter and provide elite rim protection. Can't shoot too so he would fit in perfectly.
