I'm just prepping myself for the inevitable trade request coming.

Yeah, super weird, especially since we were in the game for nearly the entirety of the game.

Yeah something wasn't right with KD, he had the Cam face on the bench the whole time he was there.

It seems absurd to read into faces on the bench but in the NBA world this probably actually means something, fully expecting a KD trade coming before the deadline.

Correct; he didn’t want the reporters bombarding him about Kyrie. I’m not even mad at this loss. But we’ll see what moves Marks makes before Thursday’s deadline

A trade request right now could actually be the best thing for the franchise IMO

Trading away draft picks and possibly Claxton, Thomas, and some of the good role players right now to possibly improve the team only for him to request a trade in the summer if the playoffs don't turn out a certain way would set this team way way back.

You can't trade away draft picks and key players when you're not sure about the commitment of the star you're trying to build around.

Wow Cam. Reminds me a little of Nick Anderson.

Honestly you can't be mad at him. Hes probably hurt or upset about how Kyrie did him.

Really don't mind trading KD if he wants out.

I would be completely ok with rebuilding around Cam and Claxton at this point. You can even throw Simmons in there.

KD can decide if hes in for the ride or not. Up to him.

I don't see Boston blowing up their squad. And I don't see him having a much better shot of contending in Phoenix anyway. Nor do I think he has much desire to go to Canada or New Orleans.

Yeah I'm not mad either way. I'd love to push for a chip and try to contend but as the great Kyrie Irving said 'you don't win if you got guys in the locker room who are halfway in'. If KD is on that type of vibe, I'd rather trade him now.

This game shows that we have young keepers in this team that we can build on. Clax, Cam & Ed.

Agree as well with most of you that we need to be open to trading KD if it comes to that.

TBH, I've enjoyed more as a fan watching these kids overachieve in spite of the lack of skill and experience. You can just see that they're having fun out there and plays with a lot of heart.

I'm all for rebuilding, if it means we get young studs and FRP's for KD. It's time to build the right way...

Sumner has been a surprise. He's very athletic and you have to imagine he's going to look even better athletically next year given his injury.

He's turning to be quite a legit 2-way player. His length helps him a lot in penetrations and deflections on the other side.

Let's hope Cam is more like Kobe when it comes to sticking with one team compared with Kyrie...

yep just the nba way.

that's why im glad whatever happens hopefully with vaughn they are leaning into more of the boston/sas/mia model of building a competitive defensive identity. at least that's the direction they seem to be going choosing guys like oneal and dfs.

adding any of the raps guys or poetl would be another step in the right direction.

and if kd decides to ask out at least the types they were discussing like bridges, brown, and barnes would fit too.

i would love to see this team really just enjoy playing with each other and give kd a chance to play super man one more time. there's an awful lot of defense and shooting around him here that i think it would be tough to beat him up the way boston did last year (not to mention all the bodies they now have to throw at tatum).

He did, yet he wised up after some advice and never did it again.

Kobe's got a 5:1 championship to trade request ratio, I'd take it if Cam can achieve half of that
