Then go after him in free agency. There’s a reason 3-and-D wings like OG are so sought after in the league. You don’t trade that for a centre like him. Poeltl could be had for 2 firsts probably less because no one is biting on 2 firsts but we’re going to trade OG for Claxton? Come on now.

Go get one of Sharpe, Daniels or Murphy instead! If we can't get any of those done then I guess Claxton + picks but that would not be my first choice (and Thomas being included would be a must, hell no to Ben). You can get away with a non shooting big when you have other shooters on the floor, bring in him & Ben, our entire offence will be a full episode of Shaqtin A Fool.

I agree completely. Actually, instead of Claxton + picks, I'd even prefer expiring + more picks. I think Joe Harris is likely viewed as moderately negative contract, that's the kind of player I think can easily help us.

O.G. (Aside from Scottie) is the last person I’d want to trade.
- He’s still young at 25. Can fit almost championship timeline for the next 8 years. Great fit with a young team.
- Has a very cheap contract. Heck, it was considered cheap when he first signed the deal before the crazy recent salary inflation in the NBA.
-Amazing defensive versatility, especially on the wing, which is the most dynamic and difficult to guard.
-Ridiculous offensive versatility in terms of slotting into any position aside from C. Very valuable for a coach to have a guy who can mesh with any unit.

His youth is my biggest reason. A young growing core of -
PG: Trent
SG: Anunoby
SF: Barnes
PF: Achiuwa
C: Koloko
- seems so interesting to me.

All these guys want to be happy is to get the minutes, get the touches, get the opportunity to shine and show their worth. This can’t be done when Fred and Pascal are running on fumes playing 48 minutes/night.

Make everyone happy and trade both Pascal/Fred instead of O.G./Trent.

I don’t want to make this about trade ideas. More so to put out there in the ether that I am vehemently against trading O.G., and would prefer we went with a youth movement.

Mind you we could probably get a young star if we package Fred+Pascal in a deal. But just imagine if both guys were simply gone from the team, and were replaced by serviceable role players. This young core could probably win just as many games this season. And it would have been so much more fun to watch.

Use Trent as more of an off ball combo guard, while Scottie becomes the primary facilitator.
Because of Precious’ size I’d prefer him to be an agile, explosive PF who can shoot the occasional 3.
And O.G. can be O.G.

Obviously not a contender, but that’s a core that could win a playoff round in 2-3 years.
Not to mention if we add a top 10 player via FA or trade when the time is right.

Just a few months ago this board didn’t even want to trade O.G. For Durant, and now they want him gone for 3 1st round picks that probably won’t even amount to what he brings. I don’t get it..

I'd happily roll out with that line up moving forward. That would be big time exciting. Plus the returns of Fred, Pascal and this years FRP.

The board didn't want to trade OG for KD because it would have to include a gazillion picks. I think the problem is there is a lot of noise seemingly coming from OG's camp. He is also easier to move than Pascal. Due to making less money and not requiring as significant a haul as Pascal would. OG is easier to fit onto most team's roster too. I'm in the camp of trade Fred. I'm okay with keeping or trading OG depending. Same with Pascal. It would depend on the return. OG does indeed fit the timeline better than Pascal.

He is who he is man. He's a 3 and D wing. He has no handle and some of the worst balance in the league. He's an incredible iso defender, but the game has been tailored for offensive players. Og isn't that.

Claxton isn't available for anything on this team aside from Scottie or siakam. He's a 23 year old future dpoy. They had there chance last year at him for a protected first round pick and decided to trade for Thad instead. The ship has sailed.
