I think he’s being facetious

The analytics tell me fvv is basically kyle lowry. No idea why people think he has no value. The guy is a raptors legend, almost finals mvp, all star, strong hands, elite defender, elite basketball iq, two way player... and he's only 28 still in his prime. Wtf are people talking about his value like he's worth scraps. All stars like him should be getting a huge haul back. Nets should be throwing the farm at us. Imagine pairing him with kd? Who fuxking needs kyrie, at least he plays defense. When they meet in the finals he'll lock kyrie down easy like he shut down curry.

Not interested in Claxton either. He doesn't move the needle enough.

Loool Josh Green, Cam Thomas, Jaden Hardy all had career nights.

We're getting no one.

If guys like Cam Thomas are a dime a dozen, how come we don't have one instead of a Flynn. Or a Herg. Or...

https://www.tsn.ca/lewenberg-toronto-raptors-could-benefit-from-aggressive-post-kyrie-trade-market-at-deadline-1.1915913

“Prior to completing the Irving trade on Monday, the Nets approached Toronto with the possibility of expanding the deal, sources confirmed to TSN, but the belief is that scenario – which would’ve sent VanVleet to Brooklyn in exchange for Dinwiddie and draft capital – never gained much traction.
While the Nets don’t have the quality or quantity of assets that some of those teams out West do, they can shop the 2029 unprotected pick they just received from Dallas, as well as Dinwiddie or Finney-Smith, though neither can be packaged with other players in a deal. They’re expected to be among the league’s most active teams ahead of Thursday’s deadline, so this isn’t the last time the Raptors will hear from them between now and then.
Raptors president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster figure to be very popular over the coming days. For what it’s worth, they’ve been telling interested teams that if they don’t like what’s out there this week or if they’re not ready to make a big move, they’re willing to wait and play out the season. As TSN reported last month, the sense throughout the association has been that Ujiri’s preference is to retool around the core he built and believes in, as opposed to breaking it up and launching a full rebuild.
According to one league source, the Raptors have been reluctant to seriously engage with offers for Siakam and also don’t seem eager to move Anunoby, who’s under contract through next season. Where they might be feeling more urgency is with VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr., who are expected to opt for free agency this summer and will be seeking big raises.”

Interesting that Lewenberg is saying that Masai and Co. Ate not thrilled with offers so far and are ok with holding onto OG and Siakam. Fred and Trent would be the most likely traded due to contract status. Lewenberg has been used as a mouthpiece for the FO before.

I'd tell them no to every offer unless it's what we want.

No way we trade Siakam for Claxton, that is what Brooklyn offered not what we would do. We are probably wanting Claxton for Fred and BKN is saying take Dinwiddie and picks instead or of you really want Claxton give us Siakam. Click goes the phone by Masai

Personally always been fine with holding on to OG/Pascal but I hope if so BOTH Fred & Gary are traded to better re-load the roster. But I do find it hard to believe that we haven't received good offers for OG, when every report contradicts that. Hopefully that's just been leaked to further drive up the price...

This is so gross. Maybe they think they can pull a Lowry again with achiuwa not being available mid season but became available in the offseason with the sign and trade. Tbh, I don't see any team realistically offering fvv the money he wants and to me thats not a risk worth taking. Dinwiddie and some first round picks is good for me. They probably want Claxton too. If I'm the Nets though, Claxton Dinwiddie and some picks for a star pg is a steal

a pascal move seriously needs to be thoroughly looked at, his value will never be higher.

Claxton is not even worth OG. We could get more for OG from other teams and Masai knows it.

The only play at hand is Fred for Claxton
And BKN wants to do Dinwiddie for Fred

If a trade goes through it would be Fred for Claxton as Masai is not compromising, there is enough interest from Lakers, Clippers and Suns that Masai does not need to take Dinwiddie. Fred has shown he can lead a contender.

Doubt that happens until the summer. They would give him up for another star and no one is available. They'll see if KD asks out in the summer or some other star becomes disgruntled otherwise they will hold onto him.

Return to Toronto Raptors
