He says JJ does nothing but then when it is mentioned we'd offer Paul or Bridges or Ayton or Cam he is like

No way are we trading them!

Speaking of that, if anyone is held out trmw...would you think they're gone? You would have to at least assume there's good chance of it.

I don't usually make assumptions. We have had plenty of players out. If Ayton is held out, it would seem odd, so maybe there. Or Bridges obviously.

However, it wouldn't surprise me the least if people are held out and not traded or play and then are traded.

Let's just say Mikal is the ONLY guy who if he isn't playing, you could bet good money he's on his way out

Everyone else has dealt with enough injuries that if they were held out tomorrow (for reasons) there's enough plausibility those are legitimate reasons.

Kawhi 3.0 (Mikal) and Booker are the only Suns that I'm 100% positive still will be here come Friday. Everyone else? Who knows.

I still stick to my prediction that 1 of CamJo or Ayton will be gone when the smoke clears. Hopefully for OG or Siakam. I completely agree with GoK/Desertfox about Simmons, but don't think we'll make that trade.

The Dinos though....the Dinos make sense for alot of reasons.

If the Raptors trade for Simmons, I'm taking Masai down a notch on the GM tier.

Raptors aren't trading for Simmons stop it. Just because it's being discussed doesn't mean masai wants him. The Nets have been trying to pawn off Simmons to everyone they've been talking to so naturally it's been discussed. The fact that the Nets couldn't swindle any more value from the raptors in a 3 team trade with the Mavs in the Kyrie trade tells you all you need to know.

Preaching to the choir

I don't believe for one second Simmons has anything but negative value

Good you are around, wanted to ask a Raps fan, but didnt bother enough to go to your board.
Whats the plan there? I understand trying to get rid of FVV and GTJ. Both short and trigger happy, not able to properly run offense while being overpaid and wanting more soon, and the age thing. If you go ahead with that and its a rebuild I understand trying to get Siakam out for the most. But then why the rumours about OG? Him and Barnes are the same age, and the wing core of a contender... Or if you trade OG, then why the rumours about Siakam? Tear it all down and build around Barnes and whatever you get? That seems a little overboard...

Eric Gordon's numbers in the last four games (2W-2L) before the deadline:

24 points, 7 assists, 2 steals
25 points, 3 assists, 2 steals
28 points, 5 assists, 1 steal
16 points, 8 assists, 2 steals

Shooting 38% from three.

He is in great shape and available for the right price. He would be huge for us in the playoffs. Can we make a last effort to get him?

Would Saric and Payne work plus a second? Maybe they Shamet to have a player under contract

I think if Crowder goes to MilwAukee - players can be sent to Houston with the seconds to get Gordon

I mean sure I'm on board with this as long as it's only at the cost of a 2nd or matching salary. But I'd have a sneaky suspicion that Jones and possibly the suns front office ( but mostly Jones) believes Gordon will end up a buyout candidate and he'll look to add him that way. I personally wouldn't surrender a 1st round pick though in a deal for Gordon unless KJ Martin Jr was also coming back in the trade and/ or they were taking back Shametas matching salary ballast. But that's just my opinion after all. :dontknow:

OG wants out. He denies it but it's 100% leaked by his agents Klutch and most likely true. What it comes down to is he wants a bigger role. He won't get that here with Siakam and FVV and now with Barnes, the writing is on the wall. Earlier in the season when Siakam was out with a shoulder surgery Nurse had OG handle the ball more and he was averaging 20+ pts per game. He clearly wants that role again as he feels he's more than the player he's shown in Toronto. I don't blame him in a way. He has the toughest assignment every night guarding the opposing teams best offensive player. He shuts down Luka, Brunson, Harden, only to see FVV and Trent take all the shots. Must be infuriating as a player. Masai doesn't want to trade him but if the reports are true then a trade has to be explored before we lose him for nothing which would be a disaster.

Teams are asking for Siakam. By all accounts he's happy in toronto. He's gotten better and better every single season and currently having his best year averaging 25/8/6. Adds to his game every year and is always a menace on defense, very coachable. Masai won't trade him unless he gets an offer that will blow his titties away.

I am not sure Shamet is worth a FRP - as one reason to keep Shamet is that he is a contract that can be traded this summer. The Suns do have to play that game a bit with their expirings. Now if the deal is Gordon and KJ Martin, I would probably be more apt to include a protected FRP

I like the idea of Gordon if that is the best they can get with a Crowder trade.

thanks for the feedback

I am not sure if this is true about the Nets and OG... but the Suns should be looking into this if the price has dropped

I get that brother. I just have him outgoing because he's not played forever and when he has, it's been underwhelming. So he's just additional dead salary anchoring things for us if not being available to contribute. Also, he'd be really redundant at the two with Gordon here at 20 million. That'd equate to around 30 million alone tied up in bench guards when Lee is currently better than both for a fraction of the price. Maybe we could instead send out both Payne and Shamet/ acquired 2nds for Gordon? But we really shouldn't be tying up anymore significant salary in positional minimal contributing positional redundancy. That's just my personal perspective on keeping Shamet.

Yeah! I agree, and that's basically what I mean too. IF KJ Martin jr is actually included and coming back, then sure a protected first can be sent out. Otherwise, IF it's only Gordon in the framework, then he's only maybe worth a 2nd at this point all things considered. And even then, I might be predisposed to just waiting to see if he gets bought out and then just picking him up while saving assets for other key positions.

If James Jones was a better talent evaluator we could make trades for guys like Kyrie or OG.
Since he’s not we have a bunch of scrubs that nobody wants. The only guys other teams want James doesn’t want to trade. And that’s only 4 guys. I wouldn’t want to trade them either.
Nobody is giving up anything good for a washed CP3 and an emotional and delusional Jae Crowder who hasn’t played in like 10 months and expiring.
This is a great example on how to mismanage your assets.
Jones is gonna have to give up draft capital with light protections to improve this roster.
Otherwise this is the team.
