They looked completely disorganized again on defense, and more late game disfunction to the surprise of no one.

Gonna burn out our players just trying to make the play in by having a size deficit every night. How hard is it to have a center under a 2 way contract these day?

It doesn't take a genius to see Nurk would be unhappy being the fourth option in Portland with three
ball dominant players in Dame, Ant and Grant. Portland played its best ball last spring prior to the
trade deadline when they played Ant, Nurk, Winslow, Hart and another non scorer in CJ Eleby. That
lineup ensured plenty of touches for Nurk.

And of course Scott Foster has a bad goaltending call against the Blazers. IMO he’s been the worst ref in the NBA for a long time running.

And that stopped a Blazers fast break. They were at midcourt when he blew the whistle. WTF?

Too bad Lillard went cold in the 4th quarter. He had three or four 3-point shots that were down and out. So close!

I really didnt understand the defense in the second half. Why was Simon's guarding LaVine who was on fire. Why wasnt Hart or Grant guarding DeRosen and LaVine. The Blazers kept switching Watford on DeRozen who drove and hit the midrange shot over and over. Why switch without attempting to get through the screen? Go under the screen until he proves he could hit the 3-point shot in that situation.

I'm liking what I'm seeing out of Watford these last couple games. If we trade Hart for picks and filler could Trendon fill that "other forward" spot next to Grant? He boxes out, makes plays for others and has been effective on both offense and defense. Would fix our size issues and he appears to have the lateral mobility to switch effectively along side our other front court guys.
IDK the same logic appeals to Winslow starting too. Either of those guys could help fix our absurd slow starts.
From Portland to Reno to Vegas to LA to SLC and on to HotLanta. Winning at life. Too Blessed to be Stressed

And at most every position on the floor. Been like this for years it seems. Small-Ball.

Bummer. Winnable game. Well, as long as you don't realize the Blazers gave up 36 to LaVine.

How many times have we said that this season (well, not the LaVine part).

Obviously there is something significantly wrong when Dame needs to put up 40 a night, but usually when he does, the Blazers win.
