He's coming off the bench for 2 reasons:

1. He's not as good a shooter as Gary. The space helps Paolo/Franz/Markelle operate.

2. He's returning from injury and been on a minutes restriction.

They projected him to be a starter before the season, ALONGSIDE MARKELLE, but injuries have been an issue. He's finally settling in, in a limited role, that allows him to develop with the 2nd unit and hopefully stay healthy so he can have a healthy off-season.

Suns gonna wait for KD in the summer only for the Nets to not trade him again. It worked out well last summer for the Suns and CP3 will be a year older.

While this is true, Suns will still take the bait. The gap between KD and Siakam/OG is worth the wait.

That's a huge gamble that seems like a bad way to run a team. Fortunately, there's apparently another 5 or so teams who want OG.

Suggs has improved from his bad rookie year with improvements on his assist to turnover ratio (about 4/2), and bumped up his three point percentage (30%). He is like Bamba, a bit lost in all the depth that Orlando has. The only major red flag for me is the recent fight. Getting suspended like he did was not a good look.

I do like that he is from Minny, so he is used to cold weather. With a guy like Ayton who we are rumored to be interested in, the guy grew up in the Bahamas and has only lived in Arizona in college and the NBA. Not sure how well he will adapt to Canada.

100% false. We wanted no part of Suggs. It was clear as day that we were going Mobley/Barnes (post draft when it all came out)

I'm no insider but it was reported that Tor was trying to get our 2 picks in a trade down scenario. Yes, you wanted Mobley but with him likely gone by 3, why trade back if Scottie was your other target with the potential risk of Orl taking Scottie. Orl was content with whoever was potentially available at 5.

100% false that we would look at Barnes and Suggs equally. So to move down knowing ORL would take Barnes doesnt add up so in essence this was false too. He wasn't our target. All the reporting and hearing our coaches/FO speak was that Barnes was their guy. And actually, there were rumours of us trying to trade up with CLE to draft Mobley.

To be honest, every team always gets their top guy on draft night, lol.

Maybe not Barnes & Suggs equally but that's why I included the "(or maybe another player)". If Tor was entertaining a trade-down scenario, there's SOMEONE else they liked enough to be OK with it, if Barnes was gone.

I don't think he slots as a "TWO" with Fultz at all. And neither does Fultz((averagish shooter). Cole is really a perfect bench guard who is "instant offense". Again, I ask--where does Suggs fit long term? Fred works as a two alongside Fultz where Fultz can take point of attack. Suggs is really kind of a wasted luxury at this point.

Suggs was suspended for coming off the bench. He pulled Rivers off Bamba, it’s not like he got in there throwing punches.

I’d be fine with Suggs and Bamba for Fred. I really think Bamba would do well in a different environment. We aren’t winning right now but I’d wager than the culture here is significantly better than in Orlando.
