Bassey was ass in the summer league...Reed was too good for it.

Add on the fact that Bassey's team played hard ball on their contract and yeah thats why he was the odd man out lol

With his ftr, assist percentage, shooting ability, and size, Cam Thomas looks like a young, better version of Eric Gordon. He needs to be playing 30 mpg and the entire offense should be run through him.

Was Gordon a guy the offense should run through?

Gradey Dick feels like a guy with similarities on offense. Has the fundamentals down to where he can completely destroy the defender with pump fakes and hesitations.

Before Eric Gordon got hurt, he was well on his way to becoming a star franchise player. He was drawing a ton of fouls, scoring a ton of points, and his distributing was getting better and better. Could have developed into what Devin Booker is for the Suns had his career not been reset post-injury.

They also said Harden is gonna be just the next Ginobili.

He can score in his sleep. And his motor on offense is very similar with James or Kobe. Im not saying he will be as good as both but Im also open that he can be as good as both. The more likely scenario for me with Cam is he becoming as good as Devin Booker or a SG version of Tatum on offense.

You can already see it in his days at LSU.

Like it or not, with the game is played, this is top of the food chain talent.

Listened to Windy on his latest pod with KOC.

So sounds like Kyrie to LAL is similar to CP3 to LAL, where it could have been a “Pau to LAL” type deal where its the trade that would have put LAL on top of the throne again?

Basically he said, Kyrie is the best complimentary player for Bron. Because Kyrie can take over the offense and also play offball when Bron is operaring. While AD was the best big Bron played with.

Kyrie, Bron and AD was a very interesting trio and do you guys think it would have made the Lakers the best team in the league if it pushed through?

It also shows why its almost impossible to win back to back or to be a dynasty nowadays. There’s a high volume of player movement among top tier stars while teams are very open to make “all in” type moves

Cool for LeBron. Lakers lost again. No matter how much you declare it yourself, you're not the GOAT man ;-)

Amazing how Lebron and the team celebrated losing the game, pretty much sums up today's players, don't care about the team only about themselves. He said he couldn't have imagined in a million years this situation, yeah how cool losing the game and celebrating like that.

LeBron should have been upset that he broke one of the most unattainable records in the game because he lost.

I don't think this record is gonna be broke again unless a top 3-4 guy plays like 20 seasons at that level.

Keep in mind, Kareem passed Wilt in 84 to get the record and now Dirk, Jordan, Kobe, Malone and Lebron have pass Kareem too, that's how much distance Kareem put over the rest of the scorers. Lebron also has played less minutes in his career than Malone and Kareem, he's easily gonna end his career with 40,000+ points.

I don't know, i really don't see a guy breaking this again.

Well Antoine Walker, notable assist generator, was a career 18 AST%.

It's so funny that you're using these three games where his usage is 40+% as an indicator of his passing ability. Yes, he's going to generate assists because he literally can't shoot the ball every time on offense and no one else is really a threat to generate offense themselves.

And i dont really have to prove anything. The stats speaks for it self. 3.7 apg on 22.4 ast%

Just go to GB and all around social media, everyone is appreciating his talent

There’s no way but up for the kid.

Moving this convo here. The thing that annoys me about the Cam Thomas stuff is that he’s at the center of the “hooper vs basketball player” conversation. Cam is a hooper born to score a basketball and is starting to get the Kyrie treatment a bit. Super talented and fun to watch. But ultimately, is he a winning player?

I doubt he can ever carry the mantle for a team but maybe he can pair up with a true top talent like Kyrie did with Lebron. His best destination is probably Milwaukee to give Giannis an iso scorer for the back half of his career.

Luka is the only player with a realistic chance but no way his body holds up like Lebron’s has.

Yea, it'll be tough. I think the only person in the league right now who has a chance would be Luka and he'd obviously have to stay healthy. The crack in the door that LeBron left open was the second stint with Cleveland where he dropped below 27 ppg for most of those years. He's had a few stops where there have been other stars taking a chunk of the scoring pie which capped his ppg. Luka having Kyrie could possibly affect it a little, but it's not like having Bosh and Wade or Kyrie and healthy Kevin Love in his prime.

Also, it seems like hitting 30 ppg is easier now than ever.

Durant probably would have done it if he didn't blow out his leg.
