He has very good handles for his position and really doesn't make a ton of mistakes (from what I've seen). Above all, he provides a service this team desperately needs: rebounding. I don't think we'll get murdered on the boards as much with Vanderbilt in the game.

Yup hes more versatile I also like that we could also play him next to Tobi or Tucker

Vanderbilt would be a massive get for a ECF matchup with the Celtics. PJ/Vando take turns on Tatum and Tobias/Melton take turns guarding Brown. I’m going to be pretty bummed if that trade doesn’t happen.

I prefer Tobi/Vando on Tatum and PJ/House on Brown. I believe size and length make a difference.

Iam getting better vibes now, I think Thybulle will fetch us one of the centers whether Noel, Vander, or Drummond. The other big get will be (cross my fingers) Eric Gordon on a buyout. Just hope Suns or Clips don't get him in a trade. I know he would be an impactful player in the post season.

Not understanding why the Jazz would trade us Vanderbilt considering he fits their rebuild/reload. Plus it's Ainge. If we get him we'll get bent over in the deal.

I'll say again, if we're getting Gordon via buyout we should seriously consider trading Maxey for help on the wing like OG.

Harden + Melton + Gordon + Milton is more than enough for all the backcourt mins in the playoffs.

Latest rumors say Gordon isn't getting bought out.

We aren't going to trade for Noel. We absolutely will be getting under the tax line at the deadline and there's no real way to trade for Noel while accomplishing that. Maybe if he's bought out.

Drummond, Javonte Green and Derrick Jones Jr for Thybulle and Korkmaz? Makes us slightly better. Don’t know what the Bulls are doing at this point, but they arent really giving up any players they care about either so might get it done

Lakers holding firm all this time only to end up with Russell again? Woof.

I mean, is an upgrade over Westbrook....

Wonder if Vanderbilt is on the deal. It seems like Dlo alone doesn't make too much for the Lakers and he's an expiring too.

Edit: Beasley and Vanderbilt seem to be in the deal too

The Lakers getting back that for a negative asset in Westbrook while Morey picks his ass would be just another notch in the ever-growing L column for Morey as GM in Philly.

Sixers can be the 4th and send Thybulle, Springer, and the CHA 2nd for Vanderbilt?

The Lakers would have to add a swap too IMO. Westbrook and one 1st for Russell not only makes them better but saves them a ton of money.

The picks of the Lakers are highly valuable because that team is gonna suck already in 2 or 3 seasons more and they don't have picks to re build, so basically everyone expect those picks to be lotto bound.

Westbrook's contract is expiring so is an asset you can add to the picks

We don't have anything close to that in value

Only an idiot would trade an unprotected first that far into the future for D'angelo Russell

If the Lakers attach multiple first rounders to it, agreed. I have a hard time believing they will do that for this package though if they didn't for Kyrie. They've been pretty adamant about holding on to those picks. If they do, I think it'll just be one first, and likely highly protected. We'll see.

Seems a bit too good for the Lakers. I think Dlo is better than Russell. I think Beasley + Vanderbilt is better than Russell. To get Dlo+Beasley+Vanderbilt tho?

Watch the Celtics get a quality backup center while Morey winds up with nothing.
