Ainge makes Lakers better and Utah drop to atleast bottom 6 and Wemba is much more closer. Maybe that is the enough draft compensation.

We’re gonna get “almost get” 35 yr old Durant.

That makes two almost durants!

Paul/Booker/Bridges/Almost Durant/Almost Durant

Great lineup JJ!!

Don’t forget Almost Kyrie too.

It better be because of the Suns somehow...

How awesome would it be if the SUNS blew up that deal?

Gonna pass on that. As someone who wanted a KD trade to go down last offseason, I'm pretty firmly off the bandwagon now. I don't see us winning it all this year with KD and giving up Cam/Mikal and going forward, it'll be harder and harder as he gets older and as we continue to miss the defense, depth, shooting and development of Cam/Mikal

Please let us steal Russell out from under this deal for two great reasons: (aside from the other various reasons)

1- For the benefit Russell would bring as an additional ballhandler and scorer off the bench as well as insurance for a potential PGOTF solution too.

2- TO SCREW UP THE FLAKERS CHANCES OF GETTING HIM AND IMPROVING AS WELL AS THEIR CHANCES OF STEALING VANDERBILT IN THE DEAL!!!

Isn't Thybulle just Josh Okogie? Lol I'd rather keep the one we have.

Thybulle is actually a more elite defender with slightly better size, shooting (aside from free throws), better 3pt shooting, and is a more efficient scorer with better VORP, DWS,BPM on less usage than Okogie.
https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm_finder.cgi?player_id2=thybuma01&player_id1=okogijo01&sum=0&request=1&utm_campaign=2023_01_wdgt_player_comparison&utm_source=bbr&utm_medium=sr_xsite&utm_id=okogijo01

But to be fair, Okogie's no slouch job either! I'd be interested in Thybulle for the purpose of having both (one to lock up the opposing guard, and the other to lock up the perimeter), so we could always have a range availability of Bridges/Okogie, or Bridges Thybulle lockdown perimeter defensive duo for matchups! But that's just me personally as we all know how defense becomes critically important in the playoffs, and you can never really have too much! I'd love to be able to have one of the two staggered at times on the perimeter or locking up opposing backcourts alongside Bridges situationally from the bench! :dontknow:

Not good enough to justify the difference in salary. Okogie is a vet min guy, perhaps someone might throw him a $3m a year deal but Thybulle is probably looking at a decent pay bump from his $4m salary this year

It's pretty interesting. We've done so well for being so injured I think it would be ok to just not mortgage everything on Durant (who is injured right now!). I still think the lack of 2nd creator will ultimately (again) be our undoing (I still don't really believe in Bridges tbh). But we've done so well that I think there is a shot we can make real noise in the playoffs.

As down as I've been about the team this year and even with how much I blast JJ, I think it's clear if we just add a rotation player Crowder, maybe pick up another rotation guy for a FRP or expiring, and get healthy I believe we can beat any team in the west without Durant.

Suns need to shift their focus away from Durant. Let the Nets rot and be miserable with their star player being disgruntled. They have no hope of improving unless the Raptors make a significant offer. But don't let it be the Suns.

Look towards building a team for the next 5 years. A core of Dlo / Booker / Bridges / Cam Johnson / Ayton is solid. Put surrounding pieces around them like Vanderbilt, and the Suns are fine. Russell would actually help spread the floor more than CP3 would, so this would by far be a significant haul that improves the time this season, but also for the future.

Spotrac trade machine is actually solid. Only issue is not being able to make 4 team trades, but it gives you the exact amount of money that a trade would require with the 20% rule.

I would prefer Dinwiddie and DFS + pick over our offer.

Dinwiddie has way more staying power than CP3 who is turning 38, DFS is younger and is on a fair deal imo. The picks are a bit whatever but it's 2029 and who knows if Luka is gonna be around then so that's a worthy gamble

Russell + Vanderbilt makes all the sense in the world for Phoenix and they appear to be relatively attainable. Phoenix needs to outbid LA’s measly offer and be the 3rd team in this.

Phx In: Russell, Vanderbilt
Phx Out: Saric, Crowder, Craig, 1st round pick

Min In: Conley, Crowder
Min Out: Russell, 2nd round pick

Utah In: Saric, Craig, Phx 1st, Min 2nd
Utah Out: Vanderbilt, Conley

Balance it out however is needed with additional picks or salary where needed, but we need to be all over this.

Ayton deserves a real PF by her side. JJ, time to shine.

One more thing. Phoenix HAS to address point guard this deadline. Payne injury is very concerning, and he was ass last year in the playoffs. Paul could break at any point. We certainly cannot count on them both being 100% for a full playoff run.

Seems close to fair but I cant help but think Min is getting the short end of the stick. Depends on how they value Russell. Like is Crowder and Conley really that much of an improvement?

And I guess getting out of Conley's contract is enough for Utah to accept only 1 FRP coming back.

SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
