You and BWoolf may be right on that premise, But it's important to remember that having that much cap space also affords them the ability to TAKE BACK SALARY IN TRADES TOO! As in players under still contract that other teams are looking to offload (even good players) to duck the incoming luxury tax penalties. So they'll absolutely be able to get players whether paying up through free agency, or by taking back players in trades too! They're set up very nicely from this!
