It's Utah, nobody wants to go there.

You and BWoolf may be right on that premise, But it's important to remember that having that much cap space also affords them the ability to TAKE BACK SALARY IN TRADES TOO! As in players under still contract that other teams are looking to offload (even good players) to duck the incoming luxury tax penalties. So they'll absolutely be able to get players whether paying up through free agency, or by taking back players in trades too! They're set up very nicely from this!

Saric has been a nice surprise relative to what was maybe expected, but he still cannot be a playoff rotation player if we plan on going anywhere.

Can always re-sign those guys to a bit of a bloated 2yr deal with a team option on the 2nd year to roll over the 'expiring salary slot(s)' I suppose.

James Jones really got a dream job. Does nothing and gets paid handsomely while being able to watch Suns games from great seats.

From Suns Reddit but so true. He traded for CP3 like 2-3 years ago and basically quit giving a **** since then.

CP3 basically traded himself. Im sure all JJ had to do was press the "accept" button, heck he even made Indiana write Ayton's contract for him.

Don't worry guys we are just going to run Booker into the ground and act surprised when he gets injured carrying this team on his back.

I can see Booker getting frustrated and asking out in a year or so.

Dlo is his best friend and passing him on when he was available then watching him go deep in the playoffs or maybe win a ring while Suns fizzle out by any team we play in the playoffs implementing the same strategy Mavs used (trap Booker, abuse CP3, force others to beat them).

The good news with this still is that this trade means a few things.
1- Jerami Grant should be at the top of our priority trade options! Seeing as Portland traded for Reddish as a bargain basement insurance option against him not accepting their primary extension offer! Meaning we could likely still trade for him reasonably.

2- Milwaukee's alternative option to Crowder is now off the table, So in any last minute Crowder trade, they'll have to step up their value from their original offer.

3- We could use that value increase to possibly flip a trade to Houston for Gordon/ KJ Martin Jr IF we're willing to only give up a future first? Otherwise, we seriously need to look to Toronto for a potential Trent Jr/Boucher package? Trent Jr still only having reported value of two 2nds could be a steal for us! Or maybe even seriously consider trading Crowder/ Saric/ Craig to Atlanta for Collins and then flipping Shamet/Payne/ two unprotected 2nds to Toronto for Trent Jr??
