Yeah sounds like he got traded right before tipoff. Shame. I'm guessing once JV got traded it led us down another road.

I'll miss Josh. I hope New York enjoys him. Guy plays his ass off and is real damn funny.

So protected first and Reddish for Josh is a great trade imo. Had Reddish as a buy-low candidate and getting a protected first is much needed. Hoping it’s this year, but we’ll have to wait til later to see what the pick is.

Damn, I'm going to miss Josh. His game is a bit flawed on offense, but the Blazers have plenty of offensive firepower. Instead, he brings all the intangibles that this team desperately needs.

I understand the trade, but I wish it hadn't been Hart who was shipped out.

Uhm. Does there have to be another person in this trade? Trade machine says another 5+ million is needed to match.

Has to be another 2M+ contract coming our way to make the money work out…

Not bad 8-)
Reddish is an upsize for a 3. I'm imagining this means we lost out on og which is the best part about this given the price he will cost

I do think talent wise ny won here, cam hasn't done much and ny seems happy to dump him. But portland wasn't doing much either this year. Wish it was grant going

Yeah, the reporting on this trade has been weird. No real detailed follow ups from Woj and silence from Shams.

Jake Fischer said Heightenstine (spelling wrong - on phone) was in it…. Still a lot of details seem unconfirmed

I would guess this is maybe part of a bigger trade..? I would be pretty disappointed if this was it. Not bad value but doesn't fix our issues.

There’s never “a bigger trade”. Every year someone says that and every year it’s not true. They may still do another trade, but this is the Hart trade.

Woj: 2023 First Rounder, lottery protected. If not conveyed, turns into 4 2nd rounders.

See Neil… this is how you protect first rounders with lottery protection… not just “til whenever”. What a dip-s

Couple of things to consider.
1) This may put us under the lux tax far enough we can sign a vet minimum big man such as Whiteside.
2) This will open up more time for Sharpe at SF

Plus we add a little draft capital for a potential trade moving forward

We can hope Josh helps the Knicks survive the play in round, for I'd be happy getting a mid round FRP
from this trade. Tankathon projects the Knicks to be 19 for a player the team would lose in free agency.

I'll miss Josh. I hope New Yorkers treat him well. Just.. once he stopped really shooting and him being an expiring, this was kinda written in the stars sadly. I wish we would've traded Simons instead, but it is what it is.
