Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
I'd prefer to wait on TE if we're targeting that in the draft. There are still guys like Tucker Kraft that I like a bit more than Musgrave as is.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
The Packers do need a *good* TE, so there's that. Even if they work out some new deal for Tonyan to come back, he's nothing to scare any defense

I honestly wouldn't hate it if the Packers draft two TEs in the first couple rounds.

In mock simulators I’ve traded back and paired Washington and Kincaid a number of times. I’m sure their are some other flyers at TE I just don’t know about yet

Not a huge Kincaid fan but if we can get either him or Washington plus Musgrave assuming we get that extra 2nd in a Rodgers trade? **** yeah, I'd do it.

Me neither. They usually take a while to develop so I'd like it to happen soon

If he is AJ Green I love it. If he is Eq St Brown I hate it. I have very low confidence in MY opinion of him so far, I have no idea where I think he is in that NFL spectrum

Johnston and Flowers are the only 1st round WRs IMO right now, but I'll be curious to see how the combine shakes out.

If Gute didn't panic and pull the trigger on a WR in the first last year, he certainly won't this year. And there are other positions that need First Round attention.

I think most of the mocks and talking heads are obssessed with the idea that the Packers WILL take a WR, or failing that a TE.
Depending on what's done with Bahktiari, Preston (plus the progress of Gary's rehab), Amos, and Aaron Jones: the Packers could easily choose to prioritize replacements for those guys - either by draft or other means. Given the potential number of holes and the tight Cap, they could also make other roster and contract moves that alter the needs too. Not much different than any other year in that light.

I think Smith-Njigba's gonna blow up the combine. He's a mid-late 1st round grade for me.

Yeah, Smith-Njigba and Jalin Hyatt will dominate the combine imo. The problem with these two is they both only had one great season to judge.
This could be good or bad....maybe they get slept on, or maybe they get overdrafted because of it.
Hyatt reminds me of Christian Watson which would be insane as far as deep balls. Imagine two Tyreek Hill's on the same team.

Watson isn't in Hill's league. But two DeSean Jackson's would be cool.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
There's a good group of middle-round receivers that I think I like a bit more than the consensus top guys right now, pre-combine. Would be fine waiting to draft that position again. Rashee Rice looks like he could step in on day one and have a positive effect in the run game, which will be helpful if/when Lazard signs somewhere else. I think Andrei Iosivas is going to get buzz after the combine. Charlie Jones looks like a future Patriot receiver but I like him as well.

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Discussion
I think we're about to see a bidding war take place between NY and Oakland and Green Bay ends up being a big winner. The Jets can offer the best team for Rodgers, Las Vegas can offer better weather and Adams. So long as Rodgers doesn't screw the Packers by playing the retirement card, I'll be shocked if he doesn't fetch at least two firsts and a second.

Did AJ Brown go back to Ole Miss? I'll be watching this guys combine results closely.
I like the idea of this guy too, seems to fit the Gute profile.

So if they get the 7th pick for Rodgers who’s the guy there ?

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.
