I can just imagine Chad Doing or whoever that hack on 620 from 4 to 6 pm is bragging about cam Reddish and already declaring how GREAT a fit he is here. Indeed due to size a better fit but that guy tends to say everything in a way that glorifies blazers management

Plus we add a little draft capital for a potential trade moving forward

I wouldn't mind just using the pick and maybe just maybe drafting a player with size. Maybe we can find the next OG. :D

we really need to tank this year and hope for a top 5 pick (and shot at Wemby).

Me too. Good dude, can tell he had a lot of good chemistry with the rest of the team. Quite the talker lol but yeah, stars aligned where he was more valuable to another team than he was to us.

How can this trade be finalized on its own for we are acquiring and extra 2 players with only 1 open spot. Either another trade is lined up or we have to cut a player before the trade goes through.

I'd be happy if we had two FRP in the 2023 draft.

Most likely Portland will let Reddish walk and let's see if Portland lets Grant walk if another team
finds a way to offer him the max ($172/4).

Yeah, it took years for OG to become what he is, his first few years it wasn't a sure thing he would develop as he was really really raw. That's the risk with draft picks outside the lottery, sometimes you get an OG but more often you get someone who doesn't develop.

I guess it helps we have Schmitz, you dont really hire a guy like that and not plan to heavily utilize the draft so this might be us ensuring we have a draft pick believing in our abilities there.

Maybe, maybe not. As I pointed out this may now allow us to sign someone like Whiteside who could give us some much needed size. So the question is does Reddish plus this big help us more than Hart alone did? Also who gets Hart's minutes? We could give them to Sharpe, Little or Reddish and give the Blazers a different look

I would presume the other guys in the deal will be released for they are just filler.

Knicks come to town on March 14. Hart will get a warm welcome from the crowd for the
guy is a solid, blue collar player.

Strange trade where you win the trade but it doesn't make sense considering Lillard's clock is ticking. It'll be interesting to see what the next move is.

I'd be happy if the Blazers made the playoffs and they finally paid off the Nance trade.

Considering that the last couple of trades ( Covington and Nance) Portland has made to bring in that 3and D forward have cost us three firsts with nothing to show for it am willing to try actually drafting some potential help there. I know it's no guarantee but at least it costs less.

Well I hope Reddish proves me wrong but my guess is he struggles to even take minutes from Watford and we say good riddance this summer.

We are struggling to even be a play-in team as is, so with a move like this and without another move is the front-office really OK angling to be a lottery team this year? Will we start sitting players? And then sign Grant to big money during the summer?

Maybe we are gathering ammo for something like an OG trade so who knows, lot can happen in the next 16 hours or so.

I called the reddish trade earlier. I've had this horrible feeling for months, maybe years he was going to end up a blazer. When was the last time one of these buy low trades worked out for us? It's obviously for the pick, and it doesn't hurt getting a look at a big wing that was picked 10th a few years ago but still...

If I had to guess, we'll be using that pick in another trade tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if we attached it to Nurkic to get another piece. That's what I'm hoping for at least.

It's going to brother me if we made a move to avoid paying Hart without getting a player that will actually help this season while Dame is playing at an MVP level. It's so typical of the blazers to do this **** and it's old. Make a swing for once.

I think it’s a cap move or i should say tax adversion move given the current roster isn’t good enough to compete at a high level.

At some point, something has to give with Lillard I would think. Not winning championships is one thing, but not making the playoffs is another altogether.

lol believe me i’m one of the biggest proponents of dealing dame for a major rebuild jolt

Sadly the problem with this team lies not in cronin but bert kolde and jody allen. Bert especially is an absolute dunce

Hart passed up shot after shot. Teammates started looking off him. With his expiring contract and having some value, he wasn’t returning. Until Reddish proves otherwise — and given time to do so — this trade is a win. They need to rack up every winning trade they can.
