Re: Game #58: MAVS @ Clippers Wednesday 2/8 7 PM on ESPN
Am I seeing this right? As I look at the West standings, only two teams are bound to win 50+ games, the Grizzlies and the Nuggets. Hell, even the Grizzlies might not make it as they are only 12 losses away from 33. Why is the west looking like the early 21st century Eastern Conference?

Expected a slow game coming off a big road trip, but this was just pathetic

Any loss is pathetic. What else would you expect?

Just dont get why we never utilize Zu on offense, especially on nights like this. He's a decent enough passer to trust him to make the dish if needed. Would've been big tonight
Also, what was the point of playing Moussa for just two minutes, early on?

Team had no legs tonight. The first home game after the Grammy trip is basically the last game of the road trip. Need some rest and practice. The team looked much better after they had a little time off and practice to clean things up.

Offense is just so difficult to watch late in games in crunch time.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

There's no cohesiveness in this team right now. This is the same group of guys that overcome consecutive 0-2 deficits in the playoff, and took Phx to game 6. The offense is as bad as the 90s Clippers, only difference is we have way more talented players now. Ty Belichick has lost this team.

TONIGHT'S HALL OF SHAME
Marcus terrible again--30 minutes, 1-8, 2 points, 6 rebs, 4 assts
because Batum and Covington were even worse lol
27 minutes combined, 1-8, 3 points 3 rebounds, 1 assist
Kennard with a gazillion

It's starts at the top, what was Kawhi doing the first half? I almost forgot he was playing, about to hit allstar break and is half assing it. PG is the opposite, I feel he tries too hard at times especially when the offense is cold. We just have a flawed duo. Excited and scared for what tomorrow brings.
I feel no one holds anyone accountable on this team.

Re: Game #58: MAVS @ Clippers Wednesday 2/8 7 PM on ESPN
my favorite part about this team is...
literally nothing. there's no joy watching them play and they certainly have no joy playing together. stark contrast from the past couple years where it seemed like any 20 point deficit was simply a setup for a thrilling comeback victory. i mean think about it, we're only fans and we lose our minds. how would you feel if you were an actual player on the team, doing all that you can to prepare before the game, play well during the game, only to see the same guys completely reverse all your momentum night in and night out? i'd be over it and i don't see how at least one person on the team already isn't.
honestly if i'm kawhi the list of people i trust on this team includes two or three other guys, and none of those guys is paul george. most athletes are pretty dumb and oblivious to how good their teammates actually are, but kawhi's probably the smartest guy on the team besides batum, and it's gotta be grinding his gears to see paul george do the same idiotic things over and over and over again to tank all the efforts he puts in night to night. like if i'm him i'm certainly going over lue's head and going straight to ballmer and telling him GET ME SOME GOD DAMN HELP

otoh, does kawhi make his teammates better
seems like he's always testing them early then putting out the minimum to get the win
18 points 4 reb 4 assists minus-1
not bad
not worth $40M a year either

Re: Game #58: MAVS @ Clippers Wednesday 2/8 7 PM on ESPN
Can't rip PG too much when Lue insists he run the point night in and night out instead of having him be a catch n shoot player. The point guard role is literally ruining his career and has him exhausted. Kawhi looked like he didn't even want to be out there tonight. What he take- ten shots tops? That's unacceptable. Telfon Morris always gets a pass around here and he was absolutely atrocious tonight! 2 points from our starting power forward who also, as usual, got cooked on the defensive end as well. I don't want to hear anymore hype on how Kennard and RoCo need minutes. Mann and Powell have the most heart and motors on the team but they're the ones being shopped? Go figure
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
