So is Craig taking over as the main defender?
I think we got Durant for par price all up.

AND Jae Crowder whom we could at least try to turn into a 7th-8th-9th rotation level player...that would have helped too after losing the Twins.
I don't really care about Jae as a player but yea, its not like he was a trashbag by any means. I just like....the only thing I can think is that Matt said..."hey bro I don't care about picks either, I'm gunna dump buckets into whatever we need to get this team a ring in the next few years".
There just has to be something else in the works. You can't trot out a team with 4 rotation level players. There just arent enough NBA level bodies now on the team to play playoff minutes. I mean hats off to Okogie he's been overall great for us, but if we're giving minutes to guys like him, Shamet, Craig, Saric, Landale in the playoffs we're not gonna do so hot.

There’s no defense. NBA isn’t played only for scoring.
I could understand losing Cam but losing Bridges just kills the defense.

You're crush on Markannen is a little alarming. KD is like a top 15 player of all time.Desertfox wrote:Bloody hell... This is absolutely terrible. We either win this year or its all over. Why couldn't we just give Ainge all those picks for Markannen?
For the record, we have ZERO draft picks from JJ...
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

Paul/Lee/Payne
Booker/Russell
Bridges/Beasley
Johnson/Vanderbilt/Craig
Ayton/Biyombo/Landale
This is a better team than the one we have now. Roster needs work and ASAP.

You win championships by having the best player on the floor, KD can and has done that. This is a high risk championship swing move.
Now I do feel better making a move like this with an owner who's willing to spend because they need to add even more this summer and the buy out market.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Damn. Jae Crowder would've gotten us some bench stuff via Milwaukee. Too bad he's gone

Why would Toronto want Ayton when they just traded for Poetl though?

Re: 2022-23 Season Discussion and Speculation 4 - Trade season continues - No player trade restrictions
Wow, I just fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up and am a bit dumbfounded that we traded 4 unprotected first rounders and Mikal...and Cam. That is unbelievable. Hopefully KD is ironman. We sure don't have much depth.
I almost feel like it's a bad April Fool's joke.
Of course I know it's exciting too and what the majority of the fanbase wanted..anyone but Booker and as many picks as it takes...all summer.
Even this year it's scary with Booker's groin injury and KD's injury and the competitiveness of the west..and Victor. If we won the lottery and it's not protected?
I of course don't expect that but anything is possible.
And then how long is KD going to play? Until 2026 maybe?
We better be very good until 2029. I don't know how we add more pieces and what to do to replace CP3.
