I wonder what long term damage this does to the Nets franchise.

Kyrie is openly attacking the franchise on his way out in a way I've never seen a star do.

The problem is who can ever believe Kyrie? The guy acted like an idiot for 4 years and then wants to blame everyone else.

The flameout this season was so sudden and historic.

Who knows if any star even wants to sign with us again?

I still think Marks has to go. He has to have some responsibility for how terribly this went. It could NOT HAVE GONE WORSE.

Why would you want another weirdo here after dealing with Kyrie for 3 years ?

amen.

i dont think people realize how fun and good Claxton - Bridges - Cam J are going to be as a front court. need another big to go with DFS off the bench, but that is a solid group that should all be under contract for 4 more years by the summer.

the backcourt is where all the questions are but at least dinwiddie is a bridge and cam thomas is hope. and oneal is competent if he sticks around.

this team should be very utah-ish in a good way.

drama much? they were the best team in 2021. it's not the gms fault harden's hammy was made of string cheese and kyrie got hurt in the playoffs when his team needed him (again).

it's not anybody's fault kyrie drowned the 2022 season over the vax and the 2023 season over ignorant anti-semitism and the stupidest trade request of all time.

the nets went into the last 3 years with a shot to win a championship and came real close in 2021 even though everything went against them. that's how it goes sometimes. they now come out the other side with way more picks and talent than they started with.

it most certainly could have gone a lot worse.

Are you serious?

We had one of the most talented teams of all time and only won one playoff series.

Its the biggest failure in the history of sports.

And now we dont have our **** draft pick until 2028!!!!!

Marks was part of the problem. He needs to go.

without kyrie there was no kd so it's a chance you take 100/100 times, but kyrie has proven to be an even bigger destroyer of worlds than his worst critics predicted.

he is 99.9% of the reason this situation imploded. he almost singlehandedly ruined 3 of his best friend's prime years and he takes 0 responsibility.

thank god kd signed that extension.

Yeah his completely lack of self awareness is astounding.

If he just takes the vaccine I think we run away with the Championship in 2022. Then this season if he just shut up and played out his contract we had a very good chance of winning as well.

Guy is just selfish. He think the whole world revolves around him. We should allow him to take in season breaks. We should just support him not being vaccinated. We should just let him post anti-semetic thing. We should then give him 200 mill guaranteed on top of that.

yes marks was the reason kyrie landed on giannis' foot and wouldnt take the vax. grow up. these guys are grown men making 1/4 billion dollars. kyrie has done this to 3 teams now. harden did what he did to 2. those teams werent all gm'd by sean marks.

and who cares who owns our draft pick? honestly it's a GREAT thing because it takes tanking off the table. unless you want to watch tanking?

the nets now own more picks going forward than a typical allotment so complain all you want about picks but that's a non-issue.

especially if the guy making those picks is the same guy who picked cam thomas 27, nic claxton 31, jarrett allen/caris out of the lotto, etc.

Well, congrats guys....we are pretty torn over on the suns board. Ya'll got hands down pretty much one of Phoenix's all time favorite players in Mikal after just 4 years. Prepare to fall in love. Of course the other twin is a great player and a good person as well, you just have to worry about his ability to stay healthy but hes a game changer when he is. Good luck, we will be watching with tears of joy in our eyes.
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

I've calmed down a bit. Feel a bit better about the team(not the trade). Cam Thomas/Cam Johnson/Bridges/DFS/Claxis not bad at all.

Excited to see Bridges and Cam Johnson. Team is finally not only midgets.

Trade Crowder, Royce, Joe, Seth for more picks and retool in the summer. DFS should also not buy an apt

I would guess Kyrie got traded first because Durant didn't react at the time, same as usual. Only a few days later did he decide he was out, and that's how that works.

We can all thank Kyrie for asking out with only six days left, of course. Too bad Marks isn't a mind-reader, huh?

And I would guess Joe & Ben are still here because their value is squat, right now. What are the Nets supposed to do, give away picks just to get them gone?

That’s exactly what they gonna do , just watch picks flying of the shelves along with our bad contracts

That makes zero sense for a team without major urgency.

At least by the end of the season one or both may have rebuilt some value coming back from their respective surgeries.

He is history now in Nets book , all of them , him Harden Durant , f@ck them all

What worries me for now is Marks and Tsai , both **** the bed

Tsai will be considered bad bad owner for years to come and rightfully so , he was trying to do Marks job and failed miserably, along with Marks

The problem was that the stars came into Brooklyn believing that it would be easy. That they didn't need a coach. They they just win based off of talent. When they found out that it wasn't going to be as easy as they thought, they quit.

Year 1 of signing or Year 1 all together?
If Year 1 all together that makes perfect sense to me.
Front office had the constant and loud “we won’t let the inmates run the asylum” energy. While the were never inmates and it never being an asylum.
Makes sense why they never made obvious moves(lol Joe Harris survived it all).
Harden smelt it early and walked. Saw they had no interest in improving the roster and went for a Rockets style roster with a star.
Durant plays good solider until the final straw always(comes as blindslind but not if you’re truly self reflective).
Kyrie is Hotep Rodman doing Hotep Rodman things and still considering his value to them they handled him extremely poorly.

I am in shock right now, can't believe, our era actually is over.

The 4 unprotected picks are nice but honestly I want Joe Tsai and Sean Marks out of this organisation. How can you be so blind to the climate of the league that you give up all your dradt picks for the next half decade then decide to play hardball with your superstars.

3 all timers gone within a year. I am devastated. Nets fans suffer again, because Joe Tsais ego couldn't handle accommodating his employees

I can tell you one thing and I came to this conclusion sometime ago

After this failed experiment I gained way more respect for …

Stephen Curry and Warriors franchise in general , they all made it easy for Durant

LeBron for carrying Kyrie to his ( I hope ) only championship

and that Harden will never win a championship, he missed his opportunities

Suns fan here.. you guys will absolutely love Mikal Bridges. Suns fans are pretty torn to be see him go. I’d prefer to keep Cam J and Mikal than to have KD, but understand why the Suns did it. Will definitely be a fan of Brooklyn going forward.
