Adjustment?

The only adjustment i saw we need was Biid should have adjusted his shot nearer to the basket to not make an airball down the stretch.

We ended the game with two line-ups that isn’t involving Maxey or Tobi.

It is what it is.. if key players struggle, other players has to step up. Whether Niang and Milton or Biid and Harden carrying Tobias and Maxey’s load

What did he say?

Reporter: Do you feel there was disrespect to leave you open like that?

Griffin: I don't really take it as disrespect. It hurt 'em, that was their gameplan. Obviously, Doc makes that game plan. They didn't adjust, which has been sort of a thing. No disrespect though.

LOL Good on Blake for calling it out. Maybe Glenn can pull his Popovich card when they ask him about that, too.

This loss is not different from a loss against the magic.

Some nights players just had a bad game.

It was absolutely different. We played just like we play then when they are a full roster.

If we can't beat the skeleton Celtics we have no chance at a title. 0

You can also say if Maxey scores 20pts (his average) and Brogdon just scores 14pts (his average), Sixers will also win.

Its just natural to be down after a defeat. Give it some time

If Celts wouldnt make any big upgrades on their frontcourt and has to play with a declining Al and continues to have an unreliable scorer in Tatum in crunch time (he also flopped during the finals), we’d beat this team in 7 games by just being at par.

Why is it we keep coming back to this same idea time and time again; and yet even with the law of averages, it never works out? Even when math says it should?

Because this problem is not just the input of numbers. This team is not a math problem to solve. It’s bigger than that.

Can't get too upset losing to the Celtics on the road but the games by Harris and Maxey are you kidding me?

I think we are the better team than the Celtics in a playoff series but without home court it's unlikely. We have too many rotation players that have extreme home/road splits. Harden and Embiid are the only players on the roster we can count on to show up in Boston.

I think the next two games of the regular season series in Philly will show that we are definitely better than them when at home.

feels like the best teams have been mainly based around in house grown talent and not always looking for a trade to save them

we have one in house home grown guy who is so talented that I wonder if we are still somehow ruining him too. Like I am pretty sure Sam Hauser **** sucks but dude came in and played his role tonight. Korkmaz has asked to be traded...twice. We will probably trade Thybulle tommorow to save money for Josh Harris to buy another sports team. Maxey has looked lost since being benched. Ben hates basketball even more. TLC is out the league. Fultz forgot how to shoot and may never be the same. Zhaire Smith almost died and some days I wonder if he didn't truly pass away.

and yet every deadline we are hoping for the big move to save us...it never does and honestly our best deadline move was a **** buyout of Marco and Ersan.

SO no its not just one game...it has been death by a thousand cuts for decades now. Our one lucky break of Embiid actually being able to play has simply covered that up...and that has become increasingly harder

Some people are eternal optimists. The people trying to look at the bright side of this game are conveniently forgetting the Celtics were missing Marcus Smart, Al Horford, and Robert Williams the III. All quality players.

Just guessing. Could Tobi and Maxey offered to the Nets and thats why they dont feel like playing tonight?

The east got weaker we must Capitalize on this and make some bold moves. Tobias ,Thybulle ,Korkmaz ,Harrell are treadmill and not helping us move forward...

Pretty sure we can't do that much at this moment, except maybe trade Thybulle (+ Kork and Reed) for something?

To me, it's mostly about next season, because there's Tobias' expiring this summer that can be used to go after a disgruntled star (Kyrie probably  ). And we have a new head coach probably too then

To be honest, it didn't really feel like we could win this game at any point. Really disappointed.. Looks like we're loosing some of our juice, especially the bench.. Missing too many open 3s. Reluctant to shoot open shoots, pace too slow..

If we can't beat them without Smart, Horford, Williams and Brown, what do we even expect??

I feel like if Doc Rivers had been coaching Boston the Sixers would have won that game by 25. We can talk about roster moves, but at the end of the day it will be hoping that the Sixers winning in the playoffs DESPITE their head coach.

Fine player, but not losing sleep.

Would solve our rebounding issues overnight. Kind of our biggest flaw with this team.

Might be true overall for Doc, but I didn’t think the issue last night was adjustments. The problem was we couldn’t stop dribble penetration, so we kept collapsing and leaving 3 point shooters open. That was a defensive effort/execution thing to me.
