Well Prok put Nets on the map , otherwise we would’ve die in meadowlands or relocate to Seattle

Better we stayed in NJ. Brooklyn Nets have been nothing but an embarrassment.

As it stands today , we still better than Knicks roster wise

I can tell you one thing and I came to this conclusion sometime ago

After this failed experiment I gained way more respect for …

Stephen Curry and Warriors franchise in general , they all made it easy for Durant

LeBron for carrying Kyrie to his ( I hope ) only championship

and that Harden will never win a championship, he missed his opportunities

GS didn't allow KD to be the bus driver. They made him the passenger and Draymond let him know it. KD pouted and came crying to Brooklyn, a franchise that he and Ky knew they could take over and this is the result.

I imagine that PHX would have more success with KD than the Nets because KD is back to being the passenger. A very expensive lesson learned

Phoenix is a great situation for KD. In that the lockeroom clearly is ran by Monty and CP3, and he can just focus on being the undisputed best player.

Where it differs from GSW is while Booker is the golden child in Phoenix, he doesn't have the credentials to match KD. So I doubt a Curry /KD situation can play out there with Booker

Dude just stop it. We are a far better franchise since and the fact we are complaining is ridiculous. We wouldn’t sniff ever the chance of a star ever or paying the tax or selling out our own building.

You can say that about any other franchise but kings fans aren’t complaining.

I hope you guys trade Bridges back to us as soon as he’s eligible for a trade. And no you won’t get Booker in return for him.

On a serious note, you’ll love him. He’s such a fun player. Zero drama, professional but also very funny.

It’s ironic that you guys go from 2 players in KD/Kyrie who had terrible availability in terms of playing in games to Bridges who hasn’t missed a game since high school. The guy’s an iron man.

I speak for most Suns fans in the world when I say we liked Bridges more than we liked any other player including Booker. I do seriously hope we get him back, I think even he truly loved Phoenix more than anywhere else. As evidenced by the below

On another note, this could be your guys Billy King trade in reverse. CP3 is injury prone and KD is also very injury prone. Who knows how the Suns will be in 2027/2028 and if Booker/Ayton will even be with us then.

Take care of our Twins.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I think we got more class then Saltics , now go win your championship, let KD and Paul retire and give us nice juicy picks )))

simmons has been a mess this season, but if he gets through this season injury free, you have to give him this off season to figure his **** out (to be fair he hadn't played all last season - likely not working on any skills in that time #callofduty - had surgery on his back, so instead of working on skills last off season was rehabbing his back).

That is the key to this roster being a contender, which today defensively it looks like it could be.

If BS comes back next season looking like this season you get rid of him

Since the goal now is to be a playoff team until consecutive picks are back in possession…I would trade for OG Anunoby. Be a great defensive team everyone hates facing. Pray for the return and development of Ben/Mikal/OG/Nic etc.

Again this is now about not ever touching the lottery 1st and foremost. Being a treadmill with “hope” has to be the goal.
Tell the base that it’s about culture. The future. Etc.But NEVER allow for a Tatum or Brown or Sexton to be picked with your picks again.

I don't think OG helps us much, Royce DFS Yuta Crowder and Mikal are all the same style of player.

We need more inside presence, a John Collins would help us more than OG right now. I'm disappointed we didn't ask for Ayton in this trade since none of the 3 guys we got can play the 5 and we have a huge glut at the 3 and 4

Wow this is crazy, I thought they would of let KD play with this team since we have no shortage of defenders. But maybe it's better to just get this out the way and start a complete rebuild and we got some nice pieces and picks for the future.

We have a bunch of wing defenders that I'm sure teams will come calling for. I'd imagine Crowder gets traded before the deadline and maybe O'neale too so if we can get more picks for them preferably in 2024 and 2026 when we have no picks this will be as good as it gets.

So now we give Cam the green light with all these defenders along with Claxton, Bridges and the other Cam. This team will probably still be playoff bound because we won too many games at this point. But I tell you what, alot of teams will hate playing against us with all these good pesky defenders.

Anyway, Claxton, Bridges, Cam Johnson fills out a nice defensive front court with Cam and Din in the backcourt. I feel sorry for Din and DFS, we should of just took the Lakers package if we was trading KD. Now we can give Ben Simmons all the time he needs which will probably be forever lol. Now we need to draft well, accumulate assets and try to be heavy favorites for FAs in 2025 like we was in years past. Can't believe this era is over

No way did we have any chance of contending anymore and it was time to move in.

I largely agree. Outside of the KD/Kyrie/Harden Big 3, I always thought we lacked the key complementary role players needed to match Boston and the other truly elite teams. And unless we were going to miraculously trade Ben for a 3rd star who is good right now, we weren’t going to win this year either.

I wish we took the Lakers package though if we were planning on rebuilding. Not sure what the point of adding Dinwiddie and DFS was if were trading KD.

Agreed. I can only think that Marks had no intention of moving KD, unless they received an offer that blew them away and I guess Phoenix’s offer reached that “blown away” level of a trade package.

Anyway, I hope Marks isn’t done. We need to get rid of Ben too and start completely fresh.

With that said (and I’m sure I’ll elaborate on this in subsequent posts),we shouldn’t underestimate the reputational damage Tsai and Marks have created for this franchise.

We’ve gone from being one of the most attractive sporting projects in the league for star players to join to now having 2 former MVPs in Harden & Durant and one borderline superstar level player in Kyrie who will probably strongly discourage players from signing with us for as long as Tsai and Marks are with the franchise. What a terrible fall from grace.

Until further notice, we’ve probably swapped places with the Knicks in terms of front office toxicity and being the preferred landing spot for star players seeking to come to NYC. We need to pray that we draft a superstar in the making or help turn a good player into one because I can’t foresee top players signing with us for a while.

They are all very similar but I’m absolutely pro wing. They can spot, drive and pass while defending those actions as well. Also I think the defense he brings would be more welcoming than the variance in pseudo 1st option scoring. Yes there will be moments when wishing for a 1st option will drown us but more times than not causing havoc on the defensive end will get us the wins we need.
Again this is 1st and foremost about staying above .500 then hoping for more. A pseudo 1st just tricks you into thinking you reached more.

I will never ever close my eyes again when KD shooting jumpers with defender nearby or driving to the hoop

i'd guess they trade 1 of royce/dfs to pick up an extra 1st since they are a little redundant?

I thought Marks didn’t extract enough value from the Harden trade with the Sixers considering that 1) we were making a division rival better by giving them a legit superstar and 2) Harden was replacing a player in Ben who, for all intents and purposes, had almost no value to the team since he refused to play for them anymore.

Seeing how far Ben is from even being what he used to be is very disappointing. Considering how much cap space he takes up, I’d contemplate sending him away if we only needed to attach a few 2nd rounders to him.

Good riddance. He didn't want to be here after Kyrie abandoned his dumb ass so I'm glad that the Nets moved on quickly from him. I dunno if i can wish KD good luck because he was also apart of the problem by being Kyrie's enabler. He always seemed like a mercenary anyway which sucked.

I said yesterday that if Bridges was auditioning for the Nets during the night before, he had won the job. We've got a young nucleus with upside.

We are very fortunate to walk away from the disaster that KD and Kyrie was with 5 unprotected firsts and a young team with some promising talent considering the amount of L's Marks took during that time. Now the problem of pick swaps with Houston has been mitigated for the most part.

I look forward to seeing how we will look. At the very least, we will be fun to watch.

Also, I shut Simmons down for the rest of the season.

Good to finally get that bandaid pulled off.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
