I think we got good value on the trade, but the "rebuild" will be as long as it takes for us to either mold, draft, or trade for a superstar, because we for damn sure know that no superstar is going to sign with us, at least for another 2-3 seasons.

Nice. . . Pumped up the trade value of the two Big Ego Iso Cancers and Cashed in with a bunch of Supa 2-way Role players and Picks.
Pretty sure it was Tsai's and Marks plan all along after that KD off season.
Team is looking fun to watch but have way too many decent players now and not enough minutes so expect another trade now or plenty of moves in the off season.

You have so many solid players, most fairly young and picks to consolidate talent though. You guys were a really fun team before the KD/Kyrie signings. Scrappy, well coached. I think what you have now is better. Quite a bit better. I think this is in it's current form, definitely a playoff team and not a particularly easy out in the first round. DFS gave the Suns fits. Bridges is very solid. Cam Johnson can get really hot. Cam Thomas is looking like a stud, and that's as the #1 option.

I think it will be interesting to watch you guys. There will be teams tearing it down to go young too, and others that will give you more picks for some of these guys if you want. And you have your first this year. I don't know if you guys would want a player like John Collins, but someone like that would probably be relatively easy to get with what you have.

Damn. Marks definitely fleeced us something proper and got you guys a lot of solid youth. Bridges is a great guy as is Johnson. I know your fans will come to love them as we did in PHX.

I'm hopeful Coward is jettisoned from your roster as quickly as he can be. Talk about a huge baby. Get what you can for him as he is of little value even when he's on the court.

Good luck, BKN. Your future just got much brighter.

I'm thinking Dinwiddie/Cam/Bridges/DFS/Claxton is now our starting 5? Or do we start Johnson. His numbers are really good but i haven't watched many Suns games this year.

Looking forward to the future.

That's just stupid

Simmons is a top 5 talent who got a max deal while playing like a top 30 player which is a massive underachievement on his behalf

He's now playing like a 200 ranked player

Needs to be beaten into shape & we have a couple of years to do it

Bulls fan in peace, would you guys swap some of your 3D assets plus a pick in the summer for Lavine? He will give you instant O all day long so long as you have a very good PG.

We don't need to care about Simmons anymore. Chill and relax. We're gonna be average one way or another. Let them play and we'll see.

Aaaah no

$215 million for 5 years is a franchise killer

Try to trade him for Beal

Nets, I presume, are in a rebuild phase. They won’t be taking on Lavine. We have Bridges but Nets coveted him for awhile so we shall see what moves Nets make in the next two years. This sounds like a two or three year rebuild.

this is about what I expected in the summer. thought it would be Ayton/Bridges and picks but having Claxton on the team I imagine complicated things

The main worry I have now is who creates the offense. I know cam can score. And Spencer can create also but neither are first options. We went from having two to having none really quick. They already have a hard time scoring. Now what. I know more trades are coming. Waiting to see what happens. I expect Harris and or curry to be moved now. No reason to keep them

I feel like we will consolidate talent and get a go to guy in the next few months.

We likely make another deal today to get Claxton help as he should not bear the burden now.

We have picks to trade or use. I think we likely consolidate and move either Royce O'Neal/DFS/Yuta + Mills/Harris/Curry + a pick to get a stronger player who can create his own shot and be counted on in the clutch. Who that is remains to be seen.

I think we also pick up a young 4/5 to build the team around Cam Thomas, Nic Claxton, and Mikal Bridges. The goal would be to have the pressure off of Dinwiddie.

If we had a lineup of Dinwiddie/Cam T./Bridges/Stud-Promising 4/Claxton with a 6th man who can be a microwave scorer like Jamal Crawford by this summer while keeping many picks for use/trades in the future we should be happy.

Maybe we get Naz Reid now that Minny is making moves? Would Miami bite on Simmons plus two picks for Herro? Would we want to do that?

If our lineup was:

PG Dinwiddie
SG Thomas
SF Bridges
PF Reid
C Claxton
6th Herro
7th Cam Johnson
8th DFS
9th Curry
10th Yuta
Emergency use: Mills/Sharpe

I believe would be in a good place. We could build a foundation and use picks to get a solid young player or FA to possibly upgrade Dinwiddie or move Reid to the bench in 2024.

Thoughts on this?

I would say we might as well clean house with the vets, unfortunately we can't even give Ben Simmons away.

Out of all the vets we traded and will trade, we almost definitely get stuck with the massive stink-bomb.

Why?

That’s not how you start a culture. We’re deep and need to show an identity to build on.

You can’t have a team full of random young players with no veterans. This board wanted Carroll gone and complained when we landed Dudley but we never make the playoffs with Russell, Allen, LeVert without them.

Awful package. All these picks will be I'm the late 20s while the Rockets get fat off our lottery picks.

This team is dead to me. Get ready for years of basketball purgatory.

Our needs now are a scorer and a big, the good thing is I think we have enough tradeable assets to pull these deals off.

Also, in 1 seasons time I wouldn't put it past Cam to be ready to be the #1. Kid is special when it comes to putting the ball in the hoop

We're not tanking so there's zero reason to trade all the vets. I would absolutely take calls on Seth, Joe, Crowder, Royce and Patty but I'm not trading away all of them.

You might want to look at the years of those picks before jumping off the ledge. We're going to get some good players out of those picks or we can flip them in a trade for a player.
