I don’t mind if he takes his championship ring with him.

As long as he is a Celtic, I will root for #7 to do well to help my team win.
Otherwise, ICGAF about him for basketball & off the court reasons.

Forgiveness my man, try it out. He's wrong, he messed up.He's gonna be in green a long time.

But what if Jaylen is that superstar....he's averaging 26.5 ppg and playing really good defense...not sure what's so sad about keeping him.

Unless they know for sure he's going to ask out in the offseason, which there is a possibility, there's no reason to trade him. Low possibility, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him try to get to Atlanta or Miami.

I like Bridges a lot. Not the most talented offensive player but if he's the best player on a scrappy Nets team winning 40-50 games can definitely see him getting into an All Star game or two

If he used his “platform” & VERY sincerely apologized, I would consider it. Until then, nah.

Wake up and it looks like all heck has broke loose. It will be interesting to see if Stevens does something today.

Poeltl went to Toronto on a lesser package then I thought which tells me the Celtics probably were not in on Poeltl the way the rumors said they were.

Let’s see what happens. Give me a wing or a big

He's not a superstar but I'm happy with him as our #2. Won't count him out for All-NBA some day, he's a very driven individual with talent.

Unlike some others here that are obsessed with his flaws, I accept the good with the bad.

The Nets were 18-2 in 20 games before Durant injury. Shocked they had to blow it up. Durant and Kyrie are so toxic that I expect the dysfunction to spread to Dallas and Phoenix. Still, the Suns will have a ton of talent probably only exceeded by a healthy Warriors team out West.

I thought that Simmons value would improve playing next to Kyrie and Durant…..but that assumed the three would be on the court together which rarely happened. Unfortunately for Nets he has no value now to them or around the league. Maybe the no pressure tanking will be good for his psyche.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

He is definitely improving every year. He's on the cusp, in my opinion. But doesn't have the potential that Tatum does. There's levels to this stuff.

If JB is that superstar, we may be the ones making this deadline deal next year. Honestly, I’d rather get a package like Mikal, Cam, 4 #1 picks than a 35 yo Durant with the long term picture in mind.

If people stop whistling past the graveyard,
they might recognize that so far,
this has been a HORRIFIC Trading Deadline for the Celtics...

The Suns vault up to become the Number One Title Contender.
And buy outs will flock to them, which could change whom may be available for the Cs.

Most hated foe, The Lake Show with a steal of a deal, dumping the guy they didn't want, and acquiring
three quality players. The pick they gave up will either be neutered by signing Free Agents,
them being good or the usual NBA Draft shenanigans, to move the Lakers up into a Top 4 spot.

The Knicks with a nice, solid acquisition of a player, who could have helped the Cs.

And the Raptors heisting the Center, whom should have been the Celts top Bigman priority.

What's next, the Warriors getting OG?

I expect them to do something, now that the WC landscape has undergone a major upheaval.
Same goes for Denver, perhaps the Clips... and there's still Milwaukee and Cleveland in the East, who may
make major deals, reacting to the Suns move and the Nets implosion.

So, it's all on Brad to do something significant...

Suns are the team to beat now. Insane trade for them. Nets in full rebuild mode now.

This team needs to acquire another wing player to come off the bench and give them scoring. Hopefully they do.

Based on what dude? Give me a break. One thing still holds true. The suns are still a lousy defensive team. Celtics need to add another wing player.

The package Ainge got for Mitchell would’ve been satisfactory too. But because of JB’s contract status, his trade value won’t be that high. He can essentially veto any trade by saying he’s not extending or re-signing.

People really overstate what's going on in Phoenix. Yes, they added a great player in KD to go alongside Booker, but CP3 is not the same guy as even 2 years ago. Names are sexy as hell, but I don't think they beat GSW or maybe Denver. Bridges was a big piece for them. Plus that defense is horrific.

Do they vault over Boston and Milwaukee? Not in my opinion. Those two teams are still the clear favorites. Get a good backup wing or backup center and lets roll.

A fully healthy squad we're still better than the Suns.

Our path is clearer to the Finals. I believe Brad will add some help today.

I don't give a **** about the Lakers, ain't worried.

Defense will be an issue this season. They have no depth or wings

KD is a good defender but who is going to outscore them? Paul, booker and KD on the same team is going to make for a tough team to beat
