That being said - I’ve always thought to myself that I would take 10yrs of suckitude in exhange for one championship. Guess I’ll get to see if I really believed that or not. Health is our boogeyman but if we are miraculously healthy we’re probably the favorites this year right? But if we don’t win it this year that’s basically it for us for the rest of the decade

EDIT - Maybe I should blame Ishbia for the value on this one

2nd EDIT - The more I think about this our D is going to suck. But it might not matter

Our defense will be fine. Probably better. Mikal and Cam weren’t doing anything special on defense

New CBA rules will get rid of the one and done. Jones will use his upcoming draft pick on Bronny James. In 2024/2025 our team will look like

CP3 (Bronny's godfather)
Durant
Booker
Lebron
Bronny
Spare parts

I don't get the the hair pulling about losing draft picks for a top 5 player right now and probably next year too. I'd give up Earl Clarke, Josh Jackson, Dragan Bender, Alex Len, Morris twins, Robin Lopez and TJ Warren for Durant.

We have to view it as 3 1sts for KD and 1 for Warren right? Because I've been lead to believe TJ's trade value was at that for years :)

If it was just the draft picks that's one thing but it's losing Mikal too. I'd value Mikal at least as high as OG long term

The more I read this thread, the more I think that many were just trolling that Durant should be acquired to here.

Two things to make you happier...

1. KD is 34.
2. KD is a great defender.

Get Thybulle in the next 5 hours, shouldn't require giving up anyone in our top 8.

Paul, Booker, Thybulle, Durant, Ayton
Payne, Lee, Craig, Warren, Biyombo

If anything the weakest link is Payne who nobody seems upset about.

What Western playoff team now has the upper hand with Mikal gone and Durant in? I like Mikel but c'mon he's in year five. He's never putting a team on his back.

And how is hungry and focused is Durant going to be? This aint riding coattails now. This is a chance to make a legacy and bring a championship to the Suns. Barkley, Kidd, Nash, Shaq couldn't.

No draft picks the rest of the century aside, the time to win is now. Mat signed off so I'm okay with it if it pays off. On the surface it seems like an overpay but we'll see

Just waking up and initial reaction was going to miss Mikal
Hate that part. Four four picks - should have been Shamet and Saric or less picks
Durant is a force and playing with Book DA and Paul - that will be tough

Just have to get to the ASB. Suns will be a tough out

I just wish they could have kept Mikal

Wall
Love
Maybe Terence Ross

Make a two for 1 trade today
If you get John Wall - you can move Payne

wouldn't be surprised if both are not on the roster in the end. Right now I'd have it:

Dinwiddie
Thomas
Bridges
DFS
Claxton

LOL, Ben Simmons is on that team.

We have plenty of scorers - Durant, Booker, Ayton, Warren, Paul can all score 20+

To me just need a Bridges level defender, they're out there - Dort, Anunoby, Thybulle, J.Green are my shortlist.
