It would likely be a pick heavy deal. I can think of a couple of Memphis subs who would puts ours to shame

Portland can offer OG a 3rd option role once they move on from Jerami Grant and his ridiculous asking price. They have Sharpe and picks. Much better than anything the Grizzlies can give us. I'm not even sure about Sharpe yet but he's exciting at the very least. Zaire is not that. Nor Laravia, and Dillon Brooks is worthless to us right now.

Pay Gary to keep Klutch happy and let them get their wish by funelling OG to Dame.

Then we can flip Fred for some depth players/picks to control our salary concerns.

I agree bro.

Honestly if this "Canadian" that "sources" are saying the FO is trying to bring in isn't SGA, I think I'm done with Masai and Co.

I'll watch another team or just give myself a break from basketball until the offseason.

We'd be crazy to trade OG now, it would make Poeltl pointless. The big thing is to have OGs defense backed by a real C to make it even better. We need to move one guard now to get a younger guard

Defence defence defence

what about the atrocious offensive fit between OG Scottie Siakam and Poeltl

They forgot how hard it is to even field a consistent playoff team. Even in Vince or Bosh era we were a flash in the pan for a year or 2 only

If that's the case, trading Fred for Suggs or another youngs guard plus picks doesn't seem like something the FO wants to do. Looks like OG will be the odd man out, hope we get a haul for him.

Unless OG and Fred is shipped for a starting PG

IMO Fred is the least likely to be traded out of OG/GTJ/FVV after choosing to go all in for the play-in spot unfortunately. FO doesn’t care for bottoming out this year and doubling down on its core ugh.

The FO did not choose to go all in for a play-in spot. They chose to re-balance the roster. And FVV is the most likely to be traded, because a 30mill+ salary plus a new contract for Poetl and having to consider what Scottie will get in 2 years and a GTJ contract, spells incoming tax hell.
Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

there is northing wrong with having higher expectations. This roster has been pretty imbalanced for almost 3 years now and frustration is kicking in.

this is more 2nd year. Tampa year was a throw away and they tanked like everyone wanted. They are trying to rebalance the roster now. lets see what else they do rest of the day

If the Grizzlies smoke is to be believed...it will be Dillon Brooks and Zaire Williams along with picks for OG.

I would prefer a Shaedon Sharpe, Gary Payton, Justice Winslow's expiring, Drew Eubanks (expiring...and we seem to enjoy bringing back ex-Raptors who used to be Spurs players) and a pick......for OG, Malachi and Juancho.

Mathurin not likely available from Indiana.

Any other Canadians?

I called GTJ and Scottie for Shai awhile back, and I'm going to stick to it.

Nah Masai doesn't have the balls for that Shai trade and the other one sucks for toronto....

Direction is to retool around Siakam/Barnes with a more balanced roster i think. Waiting on step 2 of the retool. Will it be GTJ or OG or FVV that will be traded next is the remaining question

Could’ve rebalance the roster this past offseason but they doubled down with their long bois vision. It has been unsuccessful evidently with a limited ceiling but they’re still going for the play-in with the Poetl acquisition.

wait, you mean the Raps would be crazy enough to choose making the playoffs and making money for a few years instead of not making the playoffs and not making money for a few years? that is so f'ed up man. wow. i don't know what to say. just a joke of a franchise.

If OG is traded for Mathurin...I'd be over the moon...but hard to see Indiana giving him up so soon after the rookie season he is having. I'd say there is a 1% chance Indiana trades him.
