The celtics have multiple two way players at every position surrounding two superstar two way wings. That organization gets it and actually knows what it's doing

That's true, but when a significant percentage of those players aren't playing and one of the superstars scores but 12 points, they should get blown away by any team with the talent and mettle to win a championship. This team unfortunately is not that.

feels like the best teams have been mainly based around in house grown talent and not always looking for a trade to save them
we have one in house home grown guy who is so talented that I wonder if we are still somehow ruining him too. Like I am pretty sure Sam Hauser **** sucks but dude came in and played his role tonight. Korkmaz has asked to be traded...twice. We will probably trade Thybulle tommorow to save money for Josh Harris to buy another sports team. Maxey has looked lost since being benched. Ben hates basketball even more. TLC is out the league. Fultz forgot how to shoot and may never be the same. Zhaire Smith almost died and some days I wonder if he didn't truly pass away.
and yet every deadline we are hoping for the big move to save us...it never does and honestly our best deadline move was a **** buyout of Marco and Ersan.
SO no its not just one game...it has been death by a thousand cuts for decades now. Our one lucky break of Embiid actually being able to play has simply covered that up...and that has become increasingly harder
Some people are eternal optimists. The people trying to look at the bright side of this game are conveniently forgetting the Celtics were missing Marcus Smart, Al Horford, and Robert Williams the III. All quality players.
Don't forget Brown for the entire second half, and that Tatum scored but 12 points, 18 below his average.

Exactly. I don't think Glenn can win a series unless he's got like a 20+% stronger team or he is coaching a severely undermanned team and pulls off an upset but then loses in the next round. I think he would be a good coaching choice for a team like Charlotte Hornets where he'd outperform the expectations and get them in the playoffs and that would be considered a great success. He's a bad coach for a contender. He is kind of like Russell Westbrook from several seasons ago: raises the floor but lowers the ceiling.

Re: Game 53: 76ers vs Celtics
9 times out of 10 a game between the Sixers and Celtics in Boston, with both teams at full strength, is a hard-fought game in which Tatum and Brown turn on the juice in the end and function as effective closers and win the game -- that's your Eastern Conference Championship series scenario (if the Sixers get that far), with the Celtics having home-court advantage, which effectively keeps the Sixers from reaching the NBA Championship. The fact that neither player functioned in that manner last night and the Celtics won handily is an embarrassment and should have Morey on the phone immediately, before the trade deadline. This team is dead in the water unless it makes a major move today.

What did he say?
Reporter: Do you feel there was disrespect to leave you open like that?
Griffin: I don't really take it as disrespect. It hurt 'em, that was their gameplan. Obviously, Doc makes that game plan. They didn't adjust, which has been sort of a thing. No disrespect though.
We are painfully aware that this is what he is as a coach, but seeing it in print from an opposing player after a loss just makes it more painful. All the talk here about deadline moves and what not - as long as this guy is the coach we aren't winning anything.

The Westbrook comp is an excellent one.

Fine player, but not losing sleep.
Would solve our rebounding issues overnight. Kind of our biggest flaw with this team.
Help our rebounding situation, sure, but not solve it IMO. We need an actual improvement for a back-up big (or two).

Re: Game 53: 76ers vs Celtics
What a maron loss.
I get to loose against the Magic at home after a long winning streak: it happens.
But give away the W against an undermanned Celtics team with the chance tu cut their leadership in the EC, it's a job for loosers

LMAO, I see Blake still likes Doc.
Was that when he said not making adjustments is our thing ?
