I noticed Suns fans are very negative about the KD trade which is somewhat surprising to me but also not haha.

Not much happening.
Just waiting to see if Stevens adds anyone, before the Deadline.

Jakob Poetl

Feels like a big drop in talent from the above two, right? But it impacts the Celtics significantly. Poetl had been linked to the Celtics for some time, but he was traded last night to the Toronto Raptors. Still, this isn’t about Toronto as much as it is about Boston. Poetl is regarded as a solid defender and a big body who would have given the Celtics some depth behind Robert Williams as well as someone who can at least help body up people like Giannis Antetokounmpo. One longtime NBA evaluator thought Poetl “would help the Celtics.” Whether he helps Toronto is largely irrelevant.

Mo Bamba

This bears mentioning because as recently as yesterday, Bamba and Poetl were mentioned in the same breath as potential Celtics targets. But here’s what two longtime NBA talent evaluators texted yesterday about Bamba: The first? “Sucks.” The second? “Not a fan.” The point is that Poetl may have been the Celtics’ best option to find a backup big man. Now that is gone.

Felger and Mazz, two great basketball minds.

What do people do in this message board?
Give their perspectives on the state of the Celtics and NBA.

What did Mazz just do?
The same.

Not knocking you for posting. It's just Felger and Mazz are idoits and no absolutely nothing about basketball.

IDK but looks like he measured 6'7" at the draft combine..on film he definitely looks more like 6'7" and less like 6'9" ..

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

If the coach allowed for it Hauser can easily "eat" the regular season minutes as a Tatum/Brown backup.. He needs to play more anyway.. But even I don't trust Hauser in the playoffs yet. I am all in on getting another solid wing. Cam Johnson is my dream.. Don't see it happening though. Still want J McDaniels from Charlotte though.

DFS is also high on my wish list.. 4 years at around 14 million per might not be possible though.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Apparently, the Suns are now the 86 Celtics.

Still think our bigger need is a biggish wing to spell the Jays, but mostly Tatum, because Brogdon/White can already cover for Jaylen a bit.

Ehh Hauser will get mins for sure but I guess I meant more of a wing who can create and give you double digits consistently. Hauser is a good spot up shooter but as far as running offense doesn't take anything off of JT and JB if that makes sense

He mentioned Bamba to the Celtics the other day, but I was too much in a state of shock to
post it.

I'd rather they do nothing than pick up Bamba. I agree with the NBA talent evaluator who says Bamba "Sucks."

Yeah. We need someome behind Tatum & Brown.
But think that the 3rd Center need, is more pressing?

We need to shore up things, so that we don't run out of steam in the Playoffs; like last year.

Royce O'Neal, Cam Johnson Jalen McDaniels, DFS, even Tate are all on my wish list, BUT Stevens is probably going after a "bigman" first.. just saying.

He'd be essentially filling the role that we got Gallo to play..

Olynyk a less dynamic scorer/play maker but probably a little better defensively..and well, KO is healthy..

He can't fill Gallo's role if he does different things. Gallo was supposed to stretch the floor and break open the opposing defense when the team's offense got boggef down.
