Edit: Another friction point is between Bol and Isaac. Isaac is a starter quality forward already and Bol still has a ton of upside as a forward.
Double edit: another issue is Moe Wagner as the backup center. We need a power center in the rotation.
I think all these issues get ironed out in the offseason.
It's not about "splash", Cole and Fultz are restricted and unrestricted free agents in summer of 2024.
They will either marry designed max contract ( 99% will happen) to Franz, and give Fultz and/or Cole massive contracts, or they will trade them in search for starting PG.
Magic, as it seems right now, are fine with probably 8 players being free agents next year. + Mortiz Wagner who is FA this year.
I find that notion crazy , but Weltman and Hammond simply don't care, they will rather do nothing but "lose" trades. In mean time teams build, blow up and build again faster than Magic move their "chess board" pawn in first move.
League today is frenzy. They are stuck in 1995 and their "buidling roster ways".
Just compare Magic and Lakers. One team menaged to build championship roster in 2010 ( Magic blew up in 2011), tank, rebuild, fail rebuild, get Lebron, trade for Davis, win championship, f****it all up, and now retooled whole roster in team nobody wants to play againt in playoffs... In mean time... Magic... rebuild... rebuild.... did i mentioned Rebuild?
Like for f*** sake you have 4 PGs on roster and nobody is near starting level PG. You finally menaged to draft well, start building something around your two best players. You won't draft 9 rotation players.
