The Bucks were hell bent on getting Crowder. Hopefully, he's fit enough to play the stretch run.

Anytime you can bank picks in the 50's you almost have to!

Middleton was a 2nd rounder.

is this the part where people list the small handful of people picked that late that turned out to be good?

I actually hate this trade for the Bucks. Their biggest weakness is unreliable shooting in the playoffs and putting Jae Crowder in the rotation just makes that issue even worse.

Also defensively they’re already solid against big wings, they need someone who can guard smaller perimeter players and Crowder doesn’t help with that either.

Feels like the Bucks just went after the first veteran playoff player they could find instead of trying to get a guy which actually compliments the team and addresses some of their glaring issues. This trade ain’t it.

He's an expiring too, could've just waited till the off-season to sign him.

It is almost like they wanted him for this season.

The Bucks have two of the best perimeter defenders in the league on the roster.

Jevon Carter isn’t going to play heavy minutes in the playoffs because he’s too much of a negative offensively. Also he’s tiny and against a team like the Celtics that loves nothing more than going mismatch hunting with Jayson Tatum he’s going to be a liability on the defensive end as well.

Jrue is legitimately an elite perimeter defender, but he’s much better guarding up against larger 2s and wings than he is chasing around small guards. It’s just kind of a waste of his skillset.

I get Crowder is a win now piece but I liked Nwora. Seemed like he'd grow into a very nice role in MIL.

How are they already solid against big wings? They had Middleton then no one with any size. It has been an issue for years outside of PJ Tucker which obviously worked out great. They absolutely needed a switchable defender with size for teams like Boston and now Phoenix.

How can you make this post while not liking the trade for the Bucks?

He's awful. I don't think he'll ever get it mentally which means he's not an NBA player.

Jevon is shooting 49% on wide open 3s this season. He'd be fine for the 10-12 minutes for the few matchups he'd be needed. But the Bucks also have Wes Matthews on the roster to chase guards over screens into Giannis and Lopez.

Also they wouldn't need Carter against the Celtics.

I think they’re screwed against the Celtics honestly. Crowder is just yet another incredibly inconsistent shooter that the Celtics can completely ignore to triple or quadruple team Giannis just like they did last year.

As a response, I'll just post every late 2nd rounder who didn't pan out. I should be able to finish before the heat death of the universe
