Utah is looking for rotation wings to lock up that 2 seed.

So Kennard and a pick swap for Eric Gordon for the Clippers

Danny Green and 3 2nds for Kennard for Memphis

Gordon for a pick swap (btwn MIL-LAC) and expirings for Houston

This takes Memphis out of OG? Or is Luke’s affordable contract going to help with acquiring and paying OG? I don’t know.

I wanted Luke to end up in Dallas in a Woof/THJ for Luke/based deal if Wood is traded. So I don’t like this.

But given the depth LAC has at guard, I really don’t get it. I think I’d rather pay Luke to draw defenders than pay EJ at this point.

Outside of preferring Luke over Gordon, the rest doesn’t matter.

I'd like to pump my chest a bit about Saying EG has more value to playoff teams than this board thinks even if this was better than even I thought. That's legit FRP value

This is pretty big. In terms of value, look at this deal from draft day 2022.

#19 for #22 and #29

that puts the value of 28 -> 18 as roughly a pick in the early/mid 20s.

Brooks+Ziaire works financially. We also could do that super frowned upon thing where we use Kennard as filler right? Or are there rules against that? For some reason I was thinking that was simply frowned upon.

I'm good with this deal. We needed shooting in the worst way.

I didn’t think about using Luke as the salary to trade for OG until I typed it. Then I liked that idea.

Originally, I was just saying, having a really good shooter locked up on a nice market deal, with a team option for the year OG/Bane get paid, is a good thing for the Grizz.
