Is he still useful nowadays? Despite what everyone said he was very important for their ring. But I haven't seen much of him lately.

He's played 43 minutes this season, who knows. Can probably still shoot though

Damn, I got quite enthusiastic, guys.

Bamba looks like a guy LeBron can make thrive like many bigs in the past: playing in meh teams in the past, great physical tools and functional skillset (shot blocking + shooting), from time to time he's figured out how to play winning basketball, but on inconsistent terms. In terms of fit, better option than Bryant (with all due respect, he was great at some point of this season).

The same with Beasley, who'll get ton of corner open looks in PNR game between LeBron and AD.

Vanderbilt with much better spacing looks like much better defensive option than Toscano of all people.

Russell as 2nd unit leading ball handler/3rd option on offense can be decent as well.

It's pity it happened that late, but from my perspective it looks really promising...

I don't know this would work with the players they have left. Unless the Bev trade is expanded to include Detroit

Shooting over 39 3PT% last two seasons on over 3 attempts per game, and good shot blocker. We'll take it.

I do like that, but Magic fans say he sucks though.

You should see the Trades and Transaction Board

Magic Fans: "Mo Bamba Sucks"
Other Fan: Proposes trade with Mo Bamba returning 2nds/nothing
Magic Fans "That isn't enough value for Mo Bamba"

CMON GTJ or Bogdan for Beasley and 1-2 2nds, PLEASE

Dude I really appreciate your passion; but we're not getting GTJ for 1-2 2nds when Crowder was just traded for 5 2nds.

Lol I like how you said this and then Hyland went for 2 2nds...

He had a torn ACL until about a week ago. Definitely think he could be useful to the Lakers. Might not be the elite shooter or defender he was but he knows exactly where to stand on offense which is a much needed skill for this team.

I get it, but a bad move doesn't make it realistic lol. Also, Hyland is a horrid defender and there's quite a bit of tension between him and the Denver FO.

The "limited center" whisperer picks up a terrific Center in Mo Bamba who can shoot the 3 and block shots. With LeBron hacking into his mind and controlling his defensive positioning, Mo Bamba will cause Mo Problems than Thomas Bryant ever did defensively.

Thoughts on Bamba deal:

Meh as of now

I think Pat Bev was a legit guy who could play come playoff time

I rather Bev than Dennis on a team with Dlo tbh

Lets see what happens next

I don't want to move a 1st here for Bojan tbh

I think we are better off using all the chips in the summer for a guy like OG, Beal, etc

Bojan talks are dead I think with Bev gone for salaries.

Yeah, I'd rather have Bev than Schroder as well, but:

1) he was disappointing this season, everyone expected more tbh;
2) it may end 3-guards lineup's nonsense;
3) Bamba was a necessity after Bryant's request.

Keep in mind that Reed, Bamba are likely to be bench pieces. It's a youth movement after Bron's contract is up, reinforces the possibility of him playing out his contract here (like he always has), and great value. He's not going to be starting over a healthy Davis.. a shooting and rim-protecting behemoth is a very good depth piece for a guard in part of a bottlenecked / log-jammed rotation room.

Bamba sucks. I think Bev is the type of player whose value increases in the playoffs. LA’s perimeter defense is absolutely tragic now with Russell, Beasley, Walker, and Schroder.

I agree with these, but Bev was starting to shoot much better the last couple of months

Bones isn't very good. I'm still not sure why we even traded for him.
