The Wolves moved DAR for Conley when they could have just waited for Beverly.

well, they still need somebody to get the ball to Gobert, cause he ain't touching it any other way. Not like Beverly can to that reliably either. Considering Russell is a free agent, I get that trade from Minny's prespective - who I don't get is Ainge and Jazz in that deal though, especially considering Utah been asking for 1st rounder for each of those 3 players dealt

Absolutely and I think he would strongly consider Phoenix. Good spot for him to actually play and contend.

RIP GOK

I was thinking I feel a bit like I did with the Shaq trade.

A couple things though.

KD is quite a bit better than Shaq was then.

But of course we gave up way more Mikal and Cam are a lot younger than Marion was and we didn't give up picks and now we gave up 5. I imagine that Brooklyn swap in 28 will be swapped. We would get their pick though. But those 27 and 29 picks hurt. I imagine the 28 swap has no protections as well.

Honestly, those picks are 4 and 6 years away; there are lots of ways to get picks in those years, via trae, long before then. We have no idea what this team will look like in the '26 season, and the Trade deadline after that. I'm not saying this exact scenario will happen, but maybe once Durant and CP, hang-em' up, Booker may decide that he wants to get his 2nd, possibly 3rd Ring (see wht I did there 8-) ) somewhere else, and request a trade. Or maybe Ayton requests the saem thing before that? Or maybe this one devastating injury on Warren is it, he gets healthy, and becomes a high-level 6th Man, and we decide to trade him again, and get a 1st back.

Essentially, a lot of thikngs can happen. Maybe we get lucky in the '24 or '26 draft, and get some nice young talent, and decide to trade one of them?? Lots of teams, like Brooklyn, mortgage the farm to get their star players, only to get that farm back, once that All-Star 'grouping' dissipates, and are traded away, for some other teams 1st Rd pick. Heck, maybe we can get that '29 pick back, by trading a 38YO Durant, who still holds value??? Stranger things have happened...I'm really more concerned about the '23 and '25 picks, tbh...

If Booker leaves and we get picks back in those year, those outgoing picks to Brooklyn are probably really good.

But I agree...in general I shouldn't worry too much about 4-6 years out. KD expires in 26 and Bridges is a FA and maybe better. We can make a run for him then unless KD can play past 38...but at that point I definitely probably prefer Bridges at 3 than KD at 38,

It will be interesting to see what happens with Ayton. If we trade him this summer and if we keep him if he stays in 26 himself...how much we would pay him, etc.

Respectfully, TJ "RIP Girlfriend" Warren was a headcase when he was here and not even close to Mikal. The fact we dumped him to Indiana speaks volumes about his PHX tenure and how the franchise felt about this guy. That said, I hope he can perform as we make this title run.

That's not true. He had some suspicious injuries at the end but he was a fan favorite at one time.. I am glad he's back. Stupid trading him away for nothing in the first place

I still think the Clips will be very very tough to beat in the playoffs unless Kawhi/George get hurt. They have solid depth, even if no one is really really good. Gordon can be a really good player sometimes. So can Powell and Kennard a great shooter.
Yeah clips are good, just poking fun at the folks who treated Wall like some difference maker when he signed there this summer.

Do the Clips know that they traded away both of their actual pointguards? :D

Not sure what to make of the Jackson/Plumlee stuff for either team... I guess Charlotte is tanking, they don't mind the inbalance.
Clippers want a true rimprotecting C on court at all times, Gordon can be the starting pg, George and Kwahi are playmakers too... Sprinkle in all of their wings and they are good - but not sure they are a lot better than before the deadline.

I don't think he was ever nearly as beloved as Bridges, but it is nice to have him back.

I was probably one of TJ's biggest fans and I like Bridges far more (though I am also probably one of Bridges biggest fans).

The Warriors basically copied the suns approach to Torrey Craig last season with Wiseman as Smith.

I am shocked that Suns fans would rather be a good team with zero chance to win a NBA Finals for 4-5 more years vs. a top contender for the next couple of years. If we subbed Durant for Mikal vs the Bucks. We win the series 99% of the time, especially going up 2-0.

I love Mikal, I love CamJo but we got KEVIN DURANT! Mikal isnt calling up veterans and saying come join us, KD is, and will attract the top while he is here. We have 2-3 years left of him.

Bazley is a great 1-5 defender, and athletic! He is a great bench player and is = to Saric but more athletic, and better defender.

I am crossing my fingers that Derrick Rose gets bought out, and we convince him to come to the SUNS, and Josh Richardson!

Imagine that

CP3, DROSE, Payne
Booker, Richardson, Lee, Okogie
Craig, Warren
Durant, Bazley, Warren
Ayton, Biyombo, Landale.
