Trading GP2 for Wiseman does help some and explain the rationale behind Thybulle. Gives the team
a free look at Wiseman. Team needs a PF more than a center however

This deadline is probably done for the Blazers. Maybe Reddish finally clicks in Portland... about the best to hope for.

Blazers wearing that Wizards West crown hard right now.

I'm so sick of this bs.

Stop. This mess isn't on Cronin yet. He's working with what Olshey left him, which was Dame, no draft picks, and seven 6'3" or shorter guards.

Cronin was Olsheys right hand man. The reason he seems so similar to Olshey is because he was obviously involved in Olsheys deals. He was the assistant gm, I don't know why people are so quick to act like this is all Olsheys mess, what do they think Cronin was doing the whole time?

Oh he's just the cap guy, right. Well we haven't handed out the best contracts or had the best cap situations over the years either. Think about all the big block buster moves we've made over the years to get under the tax (loving all that dead money from the old waive and stretch) LMAO... Cronin had a hand in this mess whether people want to admit it or not. What we're seeing is simply a continuation from the previous regime because he was the previous regime.

30 minutes left, prepare to be amazed.

Last year when teams were delusional and thought they had a chance to poach Dame, I remember certain Denver fans talking about how they maybe would not include Bones in a trade for Dame because he might be a young Dame.

It is taking a lot of self-restraint to not go and post about that elsewhere after today.

Lakers got bamba for Beverly. Lmao fml. Teams love bending over for the Lakers trash.

Lakers got Beasley, Vando, Bamba, Hui, Russell for Nunn, Beverly, Wb, one first and 4 seconds.

It's so satisfying seeing the Lakers get blazer targets.

We didn't get better but we got another asset. Time to shut Dame down and tank for a pick. Everyone else got better, everyone. There's no point in trying to compete this year.

Blazers wasted another MVP level season from Dame by making small incremental moves while saying "look we did something!" When it's really all about staying under the tax and riding Dame into the play in for a few extra bucks.

Shaping up to be a Brutal "do nothing" deadline for the Blazers.. 13 minutes to go.

Hart for Cam + 1st (solid) but a step back.
Thybulle (exp.) for a 2nd? - Waste of an asset unless GP2 is moved.

Cronin simply looks outmatched at this point...

I wish I could pack that grifters bags.

This definitely helps Dame too.

I don't think Gary's a grifter at all. You don't work that hard for that long to make it in the league.

He took the best offer he got, which was imo not a great idea for the Blazers because I don't think he fit too well - I wanted us to go after Bruce Brown or Kyle Anderson, which I think I stated multiple times in the summer.

I think I would've preferred taking a swing on Wiseman, but five second rounders to end this failed experiment isn't bad. I'll miss the guidance he was giving Shaedon defensively, but I wish him luck back with the Warriors and hope we use our MLE better next time around.

How are the Warriors able to accept Payton's contract without a player going out?

Sweet, we're doubling down on former lottery pick bust forwards. Cronin is Neil Olshey on crack.

Seriously... What... the... ****.

So the Warriors made this move to get 5 second round picks, then flipped that exact package for GP3.

Why did they not just trade Wiseman to Portland for GP3?

This is a top 10 stupid deal for being overly complex when it had no reason to be so.

We could've gotten bey or Wiseman but took out-of-the-league-next-year knox. Hang. The. Banner. Now.

So Portland signed GP2 with the MLE, punted him for 5 - 2nds, burned a 2nd for Thybulle, who they will have to pay... a bag of 2nds isn't going to move things along.

Dame has to be pissed.

Presumably they did not want Wiseman and preferred Knox.

Team did not get better and ended up with draft assets
