I am quite curious how Bamba will do on the Lakers and whether he will continue to sleepwalk on the court half the time. But he couldn't be bothered to give consistent effort even in his contract year for more than a month, so that seems unlikely. If he ever starts putting more effort and improves his defensive IQ he can become a decent backup, but currently I don't see him getting minutes in the payoffs, too easy to exploit defensively despite his athletic gifts and on offense he does nothing but chuck 3s. He is also one of the worst screensetters in the league.

Idk if its done yet, but even if it is, we have a very good start and flexibility for next 1-2 years

Does Bamba suck?

Can shoot the 3 and play drop coverage. Maybe we use him like Brook Lopez?

I do worry about the defense with Dlo and Beasley

I don't think Lonnie plays real min.

Dennis can be okay in POA role

Reaves is solid overall, smart team defender who hussles and can play POA

5 more min,...

Pelinka did a solid job, only Kyrie trade could've traded this season so he got several guys who are in mid 20s and under contract for the next year. At least now, their team makes sense. Although it's very bad defensively

I think the front court is solid defensively. Back court? No comment

I give it a B+ or A-. Should've tossed Lonnie Walker but oh well

Sooo is that it?

I don't love the Bev move if we aren't getting another guard defender tbh or upgrading for Beasley, but it is what it is

Was hoping for GTJ or Bogdan there

Are we starting Bamba and going big or going

Dlo, Reaves, Bron, Rui, AD
Dennis, Beasley, TBJ/Christie, Vando, Bamba
Lonnie, Gabriel

Random notes for around the league:

Denver **** up big imo. They should have gotten another guy at least. Bench is so weak imo. Already was weak and now they moved Hyland. They needed to get a replacement there and another wing. Maybe buyout market? But a deal for OG would have been big for them or even DFS

LAC somehow keep adding useful guys for nothing somehow, just unbelievable. I do worry a bit Russ can be useful for that team, lot of shooting and no ball handling. But he will also make some awful plays late in a close game and likely screw them

Doubt Bamba would be in rotation he barely played in Orlando

Should've traded Lonnie for a bigger wing as well, but not unhappy with this trade deadline. Good work by Rob.

Really reshaped the team, 2018 Cavs style.

I want to see a lineup of Bamba, AD, Rui, Vandy, and LeBron. Just a massive lineup

Pelinka is a moron.

He did a good job with the DLo trade and then ruins it by trading PatBev+Bryant for Bamba.

You lose your POA defender to pair with DLo, now you got no one to help DLo defend. Perimeter scoring was bad before? You've seen nothing.

Team has no guard defense at all and barely any wing defense.

They're screwed

My thoughts too. If Reaves and Christie get more minutes I'm okay with it overall.. Schroeder and Walker shouldn't even be in the rotation tbh.

I would have traded Walker instead of Bev.

Agreed.. Pelinka managed to accidentally create a balances roster yesterday. Then trashed it. Just clear he has no idea what he's doing.

Bev was a great fit with DLo.

DLo's best plus/minus was with Bev and Vando, in playoffs he was best with Bev. This is so damn annoying.

Yeah think we’re mostly in consensus here . Don’t understand the trading of Beverly . Unless Bryant really demanded out and they didn’t think vander, wenyen and AD was enough for 5. Bamba magic fans say is trash but seems like he can actually shoot. If we didn’t lose Beverly I’d be ok, if it was Lonnie sbd the useless guy from Denver and some seconds for mo Bamba that woukd make me happy. Kinda concerned because feel like this team benefits from Beverly especially now he’s not bricking every three . Bit disappointed no big moves, but maybe Lebron I’d moving away next year . Who knows

Who cares about guard defense. Vandy did a great job on Ja Morant last post-season.

Look up lineup data on DLo and you'll see that PatBev was the secret of his success. Vando is needed for wing defense.

Vando is the POA defender now. He's one of the best. But hopefully they don't use him as a PF too much.

LeBron team just traded a 3+D guard for a backup big..

You're going to see why this is bad. The perimeter defense is going to make your eyes bleed. Expect 3-point blow outs

It seems people are complaining about the recent trades. I think you guys got handy pickups all things considered for very little loss of draft comp.

Bamba will be an upgrade over Bryant. He’s a sieve defensively whereas Bamba isn’t and was showing great signs last year.

Bamba
Vanderbilt
Beasley
DLO
Hachimura

Got a ton more size, depth and playability.

Pat Bev is nothing to lose sleep over. Westbrook was a negative and Nunn was bad.

Vanderbilt + Bamba is quite good defensively imo.

Beasley even though a headcase can score/shoot
Li WenWen is the GOAT
