Not the most money.

Well that’s not ideal.

I think Detroit was locked in on Wiseman, they didn't get picks

Atlanta has Bey.

Was a 3 team deal.

Detroit got Wiseman
Atlanta got Bey
GSW got 5 seconds.

That was it, GSW did a pure tax savings move and they are hoping to nab someone on the buyout market, imo, and will use their pedigree as bait to get someone on a discount.

Atlanta's offer I would have gladly beat...Pritchard and 4 seconds for example.

Bey would have been a perfect fit,.

We got a little better and no other team vaulted ahead of us. Good day imo.

Phoenix could easily be better than us now. It's not guaranteed but I think people are underrating the threat they pose with KD.

Not to mention quality teams in ATL, CLE and BK (yes they should still be tough games) I hope we’re able to keep our home-court advantage. That got harder due to other teams’ moves. I don’t see any sweeps in the playoffs no matter what seed and getting to the Finals will be harder this season than last. This is great stuff though

Uhhh, NY and Toronto? What are you smoking?

Trolling per usual.

Ask him how Lowry and Westbrook are better than Jaylen Brown too.

Yeah I mean I get that its mostly trolling. Just really odd to throw the Bricks and the Dinos in there

I think we'd win that series so it's fine with me. KD is going to be on one team or another and he's out of the East now.

You worry about that if you're in the finals and they're there to play us.

Lot can still happen w buyouts, chemistry changes, injuries but right now it’s Phoenix-Denver in the west, Boston-Milwaukee in the East. Lakers or Mavs could go on a tear but they’re just tougher outs now. Philly has a puncher’s chance but they’re not good enough.

Heat, Clippers, Portland, Chicago, Golden State are over, windows are shut, need to rebuild, in denial.

You should worry about it regardless. Going to the finals doesn't mean anything if you can't win it. We could go to the finals every year for the rest of Tatum's contract and it won't matter if we can't win it.

Losers

Raptors - Gave up a 1st for an average starting level center who's going to be UFA this summer. Weren't able to get assets for Trent and/or Van Vleet. All three of them can be free agents this summer. Are they gonna pay them all and bring back the team that's fighting for the 8th seed. Lack of direction.

Portland - They got solid value for Hart and Payton but they got worse even though they're in a win now mode because of Lillard. Kept Grant which suggests they're gonna pay him in the summer. Almost like they wanna play for the future and win now. Like Raps, lack of direction.

Detroit - Got 0 value for their veterans (Bogdanovic, Burks, Noel), sold low on a decent young wing in Bey. Wiseman makes zero sense for them considering their personnel. Duren, Stewart, Bagley and Wiseman are all bigs. They can pretend Stewart and Bagley are PFs but lack of shooting is criminal. Even though they have some talented youngsters, their FO is clueless when it comes to fit and team building. If they get top 2 pick, they're gonna add a C or a PG. Spots where they're already deep. They didn't get the memo that you need multiple two-way wings.

If I wanted to get to the NBA Finals the last two players I would pick to lead me there is Chris Paul and Kevin Durant. They are not going to make it there. Maybe that's just me.

Eh. The KD Suns don't scare me any more than the Warriors. Whoever you face in the finals will be a good team.

We turned Justin Jackson and Noah Vonleh into Muscala. Who's stopping us? We can still get Greg Monroe and have a double moose attack.

Pistons instead chose to deal Bey for an athletic 7-footer who is only 21 and was the #2 pick in the draft. Guess they liked that offer a little more than a 34 year old with a torn ACL.

Pistons traded him to Golden State who then flipped him to Atlanta for 5 second rounders...

Did you not know that was the complete deal?

and sure...a guy averaging 7,2,2 for sure will be a better player in the playoffs than a guy averaging 15, 5 and 1.5

Still makes no sense to give up 5 picks for a guy who is at best a 9th man on your team and will likely ride the bench for most (if not all) of the postseason. Especially when we traded 2 picks for Muscala, already traded our 2023 1st rounder for brogdon, not allowed to trade our 2024 1st rounder till the offseason, etc.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Is that even true? Pretty sure they pro-rate those so my guess it is very similar to what Boston has.

He would be the 3rd/4th highest scorer.

He would give Horford at the 4 rest
He would give more size and length at the sf spot
He is better than Grant

That 9th man stuff is nonsense
