I'm still in prepared to be disappointed mode with TJ. He improved his 3pt shooting his last year here but he doesn't do much else other than score. That and the guy always had the weirdest injuries.

Oh for sure. Ive always wondered if Warren is a headcase on the DL, or maybe he deals with depression. Probably not and he really is just that physically fragile. But he just needs to string it together for these next couple of months after having so much time off. Hopefully the joints and head are feeling good.

Somebody probably should tell them that the Celtics and Bucks exist.

Raps are just waiting until the summer to make moves. All their assets are under contract. Even FVV could be signed and traded this summer (to us, if no one else).

FVV can walk for nothing in free agency. Trent Jr. will be a free agent too and after acquiring Poeltl to be their starting C they kinda have to bench him now.

A silly thought, but if Booker asked to be traded before the KD thing went down, I would have possibly sent him and CP3 to the Raptors for FVV, Siakam, Precious and some picks.
Pouring one out to the twins! I hope Bridges comes back to the Suns in 2026 since KD will be off the books by then.

Bridges is like a more respectable better liked Dillon Brooks. That’s what he’ll always be. Not the greatest defender but long enough to be a disruptor. No handles. Not the best offensive player but will make you pay if you leave him open.
Losing Cam Johnson hurts more imo. But he’s always injured and wants a lot of money. So KD is great return plus TJ.
Draft picks don’t matter A. Suns will be at the top of the standings and B. Jones sucks at drafting.
Might as well stop wasting them and trading them away for Torrey Craig

Let's sign Steve Nash to a contract for last guy on the bench, so we can hopefully get him that title with the Suns. (the GSW ring doesn't count, IMO)

Bridges was SO good on the fastbreak but as I recall, TJ was pretty damn good too. And he is just so good at scoring in the midrange from all over. Then he added the 3 in that last year. Hasn't shot the 3 that much this year and is at 33.3% but hasn't played for that long either. Should get a lot more playing time now since our wing depth is so limited now...it's basically KD, Craig and him.

Totally agree, I remember TJ being very good on the fast break. Mikal is elite, but warren was hugely reliable. I remember he has great balance and contorts his body to always be able to see the backboard.

If Ishbia is willing to spend the cash. I mean they saved $20m on the Saric deal I read - but if he is willing to spend in the buyout market - should have a couple players open

Reggie Jackson would be nice as Payne just cannot be counted on

Holiday also would be nice

The Suns have two spots - maybe Ish has earned one....

I am disgusted you compared Bridges to that filthy worm-looking creature Dillon Brooks. He looks like an alien from MIB. Bridges has shown to be a capable ball-handler lately, I personally feel he just didn't have the drive to be a No 1 or No 2 scoring option. He likes to remain in the background IMO, and that is fine I suppose, it just wasn't what the Suns needed.

I am not unhappy about getting KD. I think Suns will be a favorite top destination for players now that Sarver is gone plus having the winning pedigree and group of guys the Suns have.

I am excited to see what this team is capable of bringing.

bwgood77 wrote:Kind of sucks we have a b2b. Anyone know if KD/TJ would be available tomorrow? (Edit..nvm..not sure what I was thinking..KD is out until after the ASB)

After that we have a big break until Tuesday.

Would be nice to have those guys tomorrow. At least we have Booker.

Regarding Jackson, seems like he was pretty awesome against us in the playoffs a couple years ago.

If the Suns can go 2-2 these four games - would be really good. 1-3 is very possible,. But after the ASB - be nice to be locked and loaded.

Because we need a backup PG I wouldn't disapprove. Plus, it would give that middle finger to Sarver I feel.

And really, who needs defense?

Plus I mean, Kevin Johnson came back after he retired because the Suns had some injuries, I get that he was 33. But with new technology, 33 is basically... 49? Holy crap, Nash is 49.

Yeah the Bucks are my other favorite team (I grew up in WI) and Serge looks done done. Joc and Biz are better options.

Sports are entertainment and life is short so I'll take some fun in the present even if there risk in the future.

The suns decade of **** also completely broke me on watching or even following a big rebuild. I just can't do it with the bad basketball and getting excited about prospects. If/when they end up back in that situation I'll simply find something else to do.
