Waived players tracking thread
Thought we needed one.
So far I saw Bitadze and Forbes. If we trade Drummond, I'd nab Goga.

Forbes is a shooter. We need shooting. It would make sense, but we'd have to make room for him.

He sucks. He's a big goon who does nothing but foul and turn the ball over.

How much money under the tax do the Bulls have? That’s really what matters.

Re: Waived players tracking thread
The players on the waiver/buy-out market after the deadline usually suck and/or don't sign with a team that isn't any good.

Re: Waived players tracking thread
This becomes the most interesting thread for the Bulls
I'm actually wishing for both Westbrook noting that he was at OKC with Billy maybe there's a comfort level. And Wall, one article mentioned that injuries have stripped his explosiveness, I'm fine with that I'm not looking for the Wall on draft night, I want the veteran now role player who runs the offense. Even after the trades I don't see a solid PF likely to be on the market. Send the end of the current bench away, just away
I'd think the Bulls were the biggest losers of the day except I look at TOR, traded for Poeltl and still have OG
so they have
Jakob
Siakam
OG
then Boucher, Barnes, Achiuwa, Koloko, Young, Hernangomez
the only buyout candidate is Thad Young, only Achiuwa is an UFA
How do they tell half of those bench guys to just sit and watch?
the same for WASH
did nothing
KP
Kuzma
Avdija
then Kispert, Todd, Gafford, Gill, Carey, Gibson
they at least can buyout Barton

Not only do we have to watch the bulls do nothing at the deadline, we get to watch the buy out guys sign elsewhere.

Would honestly prefer Jackson to Russ, and either to nothing.
Jackson is a better shooter - being a league average type guy. If he can't land on a "contender," he could certainly get minutes on the Bulls - something that could impact how much money he gets in his next contract - could easily be the difference of 1 to 2 million dollars per year for 2-3 years... when winding down, I wouldn't ignore that...

Watch for Derrick Rose.
I can't tell if we want to actually add anyone though. Feels like we think we're trending in the right direction and want to let things ride as is.

I would actually be very interested in him, as unlike Russ and Wall he's still decent and can shoot a bit. He's obviously not going to come here though if he prefers a contender.

Re: Waived players tracking thread
Lots of interesting names mentioned here. I think the Bulls could use someone with PBev's skills and attitude. Wouldn't mind another shooter as well. We have $1.7 M to spend under the lux tax line. We could spend it all on one guy using our Non-Taxpayer Mid Level exception, or we could get two or three guys if they all sign Rest of Season contracts (which are Vet Min contracts pro rata to reflect how much of the season is left). A rest of season contract is already at a cap hit below 600K. We will have to waive someone for each player that we sign.

You guys are thinking of Reggie Jackson from a couple of years ago. He's been straight trash the last two seasons. Take a look at his stats.

of that list
I'll go for
Westbrook
Wall
and SHOCK ALERT Kevin Love
I would bid farewell to Marko, Bradley and the only one who would get added to that list Dragic
To me Westbrook can still play at a higher level for the rest of the season than who the Bulls have now. He's a threat hat defenses need to guard
Wall isn't what he used to be but we're looking for 12-18 minutes not 38
Love sure could shoot against the Bulls, he can be a bigger backup for PWill even play across from him, play outside next to Drummond and a small lineup 5.

I'm looking at his stats. They are a billion times better than Russ or Wall's.
