Im proud of Wedgie for sticking to his guns and starting Byrd tonight. Not only did he get the win, he also set our pitching staff up perfectly for the Boston series.

Thanks Yanks fans for the kind words. To get respect you have to beat the big name teams. Beating you guys was huge for us, which should say something about how big the Yankee dynasty is.

It is sad to think of this being the end of the Torre, Posada, Clemens, possibly ARod era, but all good things must come to an end.

Have the Indians beaten the Yankees in the playoffs at any time in recent history? I don't think we ever met them (and won) back in the 90's.

You beat us in the '97 ALDS, the last time the Yankees were a Wild Card, incidentally. I could pretend that's a sign of good things to come but i'd be jumping the gun.

Sigh. Best of luck in the ALCS, though.

Think of it this way, the Indians really don't have a closer. They have a guy that they throw out there and hope prevents the other team from coming back. It works most of the time (although he does seem to get more than his fair share of great defensive plays). It does seem kinda ridiculous to me to go from Perez to Betancourt to Borowski however.

Derek Jeter had 16 plate appearances in this series. How many outs did he make? Seventeen.

And who will get killed in the NY Media? A-Rod.

Jeter and Posada choked way more than A-Rod IMO....
