Not saying Westbrook was good but I thought he got a really bad wrap for LA's dumb decision to bring him to a team that just didn't fit on paper or in practice. Given how weak our bench is, I would certainly be open to bringing him in to lead the bench unit.

Didn't realize we got Bazley. Nice pickup. Still some potential there to unlock.

Yeah, I was just goint to say Thybulle is getting vastly overrated suddenly. You can't play him major minutes in the playoffs. You are not playing him against starting units.

Vastly. He just got a better image because he played on a very good defensive team anchored by Embiid whereas Okogie was a great defender on a very poor defensive team anchored by..........

The only Glue/Fun/Family guy left is Payne.

I get we are a business and we have straight-up pro players in Durant, Paul, and Booker but I feel we lost the fun that made the Suns special. How about a balance?

Bridges and his smile, Saric and his locker room bond. We need a family guy that can play.

I say bring Frank back on the minimal and original the Valley Boy, Kelly Oubre. That would create a good family Valley boys vibe back.

Just my $0.02 Mat.

I partially agree with you and that's why I don't want to lose Wainright.

Yeah, I think it's more about the tax than Bazley

It's more than that. It's giving us a look at a young guy who is young enough and has enough potential to potentially resign (for cheap) whereas we knew we weren't going to resign Dario. So instead of just letting Dario expire and not having any avenue to add young talent, we made this trade.

I think it's a potential low risk, medium reward play

Russel Westbrook is an actual vampire?!

That's spoopy! But everyone knows werewolves are cooler.

Someone refresh my memory, did Vince Carter's time here end tumultuously? Or he had bad words to say about us or something? I can't remember.

Anyway, bro said he was the only one in the ESPN (who watches those losers still) panel that picked us to win. Found it interesting because I thought about his departure but I could be confusing him for someone else

I agree and I am saddened to hear his name being mentioned as a possibility. His shooting will be unplayable in the playoffs. I will only take a chance on a minimum 1 year deal as the 3rd stringer last resort

Reggie and Holiday have far more priority over him.

I don't think he was ever nearly as beloved as Bridges, but it is nice to have him back.

I was probably one of TJ's biggest fans and I like Bridges far more (though I am also probably one of Bridges biggest fans).

How dare you!

Nah TJ was definitely well liked here. He kept his head down, worked hard and really produced but I think just those long mystery injuries just took a toll on his fanbase. Clearly we got the most out of him while he was here since after he left he only managed to play about 100 games over 4 seasons.

Despite his offensive struggles, Darius Bazley has turned into an incredible defender that can switch 1-5 and in man defense, he is graded as good to the tune of 0.952 points per possession which ranks in the 64th percentile according to synergy.

I think he migh even be the 5th starter eventually. We don't need scoring in the starting 5, we need defense and rebounding. We can do that better probably with him at the PF spot and KD as a small forward, than Craig playing the big wing. Craig might have a bit more offense and that will be needed from the bench for sure. Bazley just needs to stand in the corner on offense and shoot 3s at league average, while he is wide open. If he sneaks baseline for a couple dunks thats just added bonus.

If he can shoot then absoulutely he can be that 5th starter with his defense. But if he can't I still think Torrey's shooting and switchability is still valued in that starting line up.

Without the ironman Mikal taking on the opposing team's best scorers at POA, it will now fall on the stars to do that which will take energy away from their offensive games so I think we do need that primary POA defender out there without sacrificing on the spacing that good perimeter shooting would give them.

Yup, been out since tearing up his knee with Philly. He's supposedly close to returning and he might still have 10-15 minutes a night of 3 and D work left in him.
