Tim and Will are close from Denver days...both Baltimore guys. Would not completely shock me.

Could be, but it’s a tough sell to the owner

“You know that guy at the end of our bench that I convinced you to pay, but I don’t use too much? Well, I’d like you to pay him to go away and to do nothing for the team, and then pay for this new guy too, because I think he is going to be much better.”

That might work for a player of Beverley’s level, but probably not Wil Barton. Donnelly would probably need to wait until the summer to sign him as a free agent.

I doubt money is much of an issue. The Wolves cleared $3.8M with the DLO trade, so pretty much any addition at this point is still going to result in less salary than the team was paying a couple of days ago.

The negativity is that we went and helped the Lakers and Jazz.

And by helping the Lakers we also hurt our chances which is exactly what the Jazz wanted but we still helped them out anyway. Suffice it to say we made the trade in the summer look even better for the Jazz. So not only did we screw up then we are attempting to patch it up by helping another team the Lakers at that come back from the dead.

and that’s an extremely lazy, shallow opinion.

Just saw all that on twitter. Yikes. Refusing to throw Rudy lobs, not wanting to work with him, openly complaining about him loudly and while he's in the locker room.

Seems Finchy was a big part of getting NAW here, liked him alot from coaching him in New Orleans.

Rudy being excited about Conley coming in has some extra layers to it now

Krawczynski spoke about Russell on Barreiro's show:

- I'm paraphrasing here, but he said that Dlo openly talked **** about Gobert in front of teammates and other teams and coaches, sometimes even on the floor. He said that Dlo wore his dislike of Gobert "on his sleeve".

- He also said that Dlo did not want to throw lobs to Gobert and had little interest in working with him.

- Several times media came into the locker room and could hear Dlo being frustrated with having to play with Rudy, and Jon insinuated it was awkward to hear.

- Rudy also knew that Dlo did not like him

- Rudy very excited about Conley, can trust him - did not trust Dlo

- Wolves pursued Bones, Crowder and Bey

Ok now our mediocre start to the season and tons of bad losses is beginning to make sense ( besides the kat and Jmac injuries of course)

Every team in the west got better you cinder block brain. We're currently 8th in the West. And the main teams save SAC at #3 and NO at #7 that we have to compete with got not just better but potentially waay better. We just helped #13 who literally has LeBron become a playin candidate. If we get pushed into the playins do you really thing we have what it takes to beat a fully powered LeBron and Co.?

Shallow? If you think so you're a moron.

If you do you're delusional. I'm pretty sure he's aware this might be his last real shot at a ring.

Wolves got better, got a real pg that is more mature and not toxic af, so team chemistry can heal and hopefully full health for Kat and Jmac.

Another interesting tidbit in the Dan Barreiro show was that Towns and Russell's relationship had evolved starting last year. No longer an issue, it's irrelevant. We are passed the point of KAT pouting now that Russell was traded. He said maybe KAT will look at it as a liberating move.

Pushed into the play in? Is this a serious comment? We haven't been a 6th or higher seed for more than 12 hours at any one time the last month and a half. Before that we were out of the playoffs. We haven't been falling out of the playoffs. As a matter of fact we haven't been more than 2 games over .500 at any time during the season. We were in 9th place when we made this trade and one game above .500...and had we lost last night we would have been the 10th seed. This has happened even though we had played 6 more games at home that we had played on the road.

KAT and Russell had some sort of falling out? I hadn't heard that one.

Well, okay. Deal makes a lot more sense now. I wonder if DLo saw Rudy as the person that took his money. They are paying you 40m+ so they can’t pay me.

I’m surprised they couldn’t get one of Crowder or Bones if they really wanted them.

That's exactly the point. Every team got way stronger, we'll have to fight for the spot. Against Bron.

You don't think LeBron will whip them into shape better than KAT and Ant did?

The man has arguably one of the highest BBIQs in the game maybe behind CP3. If you don't think he could utilize them better I'm guessing you've never played with a good floor general.

DLo is a chump - not a winning basketball player. Good riddance. There’s a reason he has bounced around like a pinball. He’s a pretend leader (critical for his position) and his team mates have rarely ever respected him … or liked him as a person.

He's also old as ****. I like Conley, he's a good player, one of those - best players ever that never became an All Star

Conley was an all-star more recently than Russell

I don’t want to crap on DLo as he was big part if best non KG season. I will say two things I like about Conley is
1) the story where he was talking about his role in realizing while Randolph was key on D he had to make sure he got touches on O to not lose interest. That doesn’t just benefit Rudy. Benefits Ant and Jaden too.
2) pecking order is way more defined. DLo made it work with Ant without KAT, but with KAT could’ve been problematic
