The fact that his two best games of the year were against the Celtics and Bucks is encouraging.

Would have been nice if he had another year on the contract but then he would have been a lot more expensive. Maybe he can help. He is better than House.

Now Jalen instead of Jaden McDaniels lol.

Jason instead of Travis...

tiebreaker should be that Travis is annoying af while Jason got that nice uncle energy. Made it about 90 seconds into their podcast before Travis’ grinning vacuousness made me click away.

Ok, that's fair. I will go celebrate enthusiastically the Sixers inevitable Finals run.

That's about as fruitful as crying over a playoff that hasn't even started.

Darryl was the best Sutter brother, but there were 5. Ron was like 3rd out of his brothers.

We had both Detmer brothers and we definitely had the better MCcown brother.

Maybe a Harden-Maxey-Harris-McDaniels-Tucker 5 can be a lineup that won't get crushed in the playoffs when Embiid rests.

I dont expect us to change our starters.

It’s possibly but it’s unlikely that we’re gonna add a back-up C.

McDaniels is a great add IMO. He will solidify our bench. Where we can interchange Tobias/Tucker with McDaniels/Niang, depending the situation.

Harden/Melton/McDaniels/Niang/Biid?

McDaniels is also the type of PF that may allow you to play Maxey Harden backcourt. And this can form a “deathball” type unit.

Harden/Maxey/Tobias/McDaniels/Biid?

McDaniels is also the type of player that allows you to play Tucker at C.

Maxey/Milton/McDaniels/Niang/Tucker?

I like the McDaniels pickup, we needed length, athleticism, rebounding. Alone he isn’t enough to complete the roster, but very much needed.

Hornets fan here, this is my assessment.

Polished offensive player who can hit the open 3 and is going to be even better for you guys where he gets more open looks. Is a bit streaky in this area however as many young players are. Good finisher in transition.

On defense he is a decent help defender due to size and length. Below average 1v1 defender. Doesn't move his feet well and not strong enough to body anyone.

Makes sense why we acquire him. He’s gonna play a bigger version of Melton

Hornets fan here. I am a bit upset he is gone. He's definitely a plus defender, from the eye test a lot of guys struggle making jumpers/fade aways over him, he's really long. Not the strongest but he's improved his frame from his rookie year. He's one of the few guys on our team that isn't a defensive liability. He might struggle against a beast backing him down but he at least has the length to compete.

You guys are going to like him and I see him playing at least 15 minutes a night off the bench in the playoffs even for a contender. One of those guys that will probably look even better with a superstar taking gravity away from him.

He can do a bit of everything and is a good finisher on the drive. A little streaky as a shooter as his percentages imply but he has his nights where he hits.

You got a good one, don't worry.

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, he's definitely a better offensive player than Thybulle and Tucker. Hopefully he'll eat into some of Tucker's minutes as the back-up SF/PF.

He should give us the potential for some more versatile lineups. Unfortunately it falls on Doc to make that happen.
