Say what you will Westbrook plays his heart out I'd rather have him play instead of Nowell. Wall I don't get as much.

Thank you Note 30 for only rephrasing my post one time while calling out Baseline on Westbrook 3x.

Yes, I’m joking around.

Since you posted your comments 3 times, I had to move my comments here :D

Could be I miss the craziness of DLo? :D I think they could be that change of pace guy off the bench to provide energy and give you 15 pts. Wall was good when I watched him play earlier this year but don't know what happened to him with the Clippers. JMcL kinda does that but I feel he is too much of a defense liability because his size and also lack of scoring ability.

Totally agree with Westbrook taking Nowell and Rivers' minutes.

4 1st round picks offered for Bridges. Wow. Guessing it was the Bucks. At any rate, just don't think draft picks carry as much value as they used to...

And 3 for Anunoby.

I am skeptical about any deal that doesn’t happen, especially when a GM benefits if a high price is leaked.

Going shopping

The Wolves went looking for more wing help on Thursday, canvassing the league to see if there was more scoring punch and defense to be added.

Among the player the Wolves pursued were Denver’s Bones Hyland, Phoenix’s Jae Crowder, Detroit’s Saddiq Bey and Miami’s Max Strus, per sources. It’s clear that after losing a high volume 3-point shooter in Russell, they were looking at options to fill the shooting void.

“We were close on a couple things,” Connelly said without citing specific players or deals. “We weren’t able to consummate the deals.”

Really? why though? Westbrook is like you take Nowell and put him in a lab and are like "ok, we'll keep the 3 point shooting the same, but lets take this elite mid-range game and make that just as bad as the 3 point shot. Also these turnovers are way too low, so let's go ahead and double those."

With Nowell, I've at least seen him hit enough 3s in the past where I feel like he's just in a cold spell. And once he comes off a pick and is working downhill against drop coverage, he's legitimately dangerous ala DeAaron Fox because his mid-range game is so silky. Westbrook is pretty remarkably consistent in his success rate on jump shots, and it's not good at any range. He does get to the line more, but his FT percentage is worse than Gobert. The rebounding is the one thing I'd clearly like. Everything else in comparison to Nowell doesn't really seem particularly close.

Crowder would've been nice, but I don't know how he fits into the rotation if healthy. Granted, Anderson misses every other game, so maybe not an issue.

Struss is interesting, wonder if that was more as a target from a Dlo trade.

Is Will Barton actually getting bought out? He would be a nice get, he's had a down year but would still be worth a look. We still have the BAE.

If the Nets were offered four first round picks for Bridges, what is McDaniels now worth?

Jaden is four years younger than Mikal Bridges. I think he’s worth three easily and will be more when he is Bridge’s age.

If we go by stats, Nowell has practically the same shooting percentage on 2s and 3s as Westbrook. Interestingly, Westbrook has a better TO ratio. Westbrook is a better pg, defender, passer than Nowell (as Finch said, it's unfair to ask Nowell to play pg). From an eye test point of view, no one will mistake Nowell for Westbrook. I think a 3 guard rotation of Conley, Ant and Westbrook can work well. Both Ant and Conley can be spot up shooters. Westbrook could push pace with the second unit, drive around defenders and pass. Also, I don't think his game decline as much as the stat shows. His game just doesn't fit next to Lebron, where as DLo will be like JR Smith.

Hard to believe we couldn’t flip 2 Jazz 2nd rounders for Bones. Was the 2 Clips picks that much better or perceived value than two Clips 2nds? Feels like spin.

I'd rather have Conley's voice in the locker room and on the court. i like Pat Bev but his antics get tiresome quick. Pretty soon Kat and Ant are arguing every call again.

You make it sound like Kat and Ant actually stopped complaining about most every call.

What do you mean? KAT hasn't argued a call since late November.
