GT #55: Pacers @ Bullets 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Fri Feb 10, 2023 5:49 pm

YOUR Washington Bullets are 25-29!

The trade deadline has come and gone. The last 28 games of the season begin now. Your Bullets are still in the Play-In Tournament chase but also are still in prime position to retain their 2023 1st round pick!

The Pacers are in town for a critical Saturday night showdown that may determine lottery positioning or Play-In futility.

Tyrese Haliburton has returned and Indiana is back to being whole. Their last trip to DC was a blowout win.

Will that happen again?!

I think Indy has decided to tank. I expect a win.

Another big game from Deni. Indy doesn’t really have any capable 3/4 guys.

Barton out for personal reasons. What’s holding up his buy out?

Q Jackson is on the bench.

Interesting that gafford and KP started together. Has that been the norm lately?

Beal having a really good game save for TOs. Shot has looked as good as I've seen in a long time.

They keep winning like this and Maximum Smugterd will emerge from his Depends-lined box to proclaim "blah blah blah 10-Point Program blah blah blah" with that sly, oblivious twinkle. 18-9 for the rest of the season, 44-38 for the season ("just like that championship season" beams T Leo), 0-2 in the playinoffs.

Hard to teach an old fan new tricks, but it's still fun to see wins.

The Wizards are assembling quite a team with play in experience.

The Wizards have Beal, Gafford, Deni, and Gill from the Wizards where they went 1-1 in the play in.

Kyle Kuzma won his only play in game with the Lakers against the Warriors in 2021.

Delon Wright went 2-0 in all his play in games with the Atlanta Hawks.

Note, ESPN and basketball reference don't put in play in games in a player's respective game logs. Sometimes the most important milestones for one franchise aren't even noted in the record books.

I didn't watch the game, but the defense must have been unbelievably bad. Literally everyone on the team had a TS% north of 62% (except for the last 3 minutes of garbage time). The starters plus Deni and Wright all had a TS% above 72%! Was this a video game on Easy Mode?

(edit... every time I read your post I start to laugh again.... "play-in experience..." oh man I gotta go for a walk, calm down!)
