Great first game with everyone, Embiid is just to much, and tough to guard.

some of us, well. maybe just me.. are debating if we are still Suns fans or Nets fans and while that is an exaggeration, the Nets are definitely my second favorite team atm and i am still unhappy the Suns traded these two and so i will likely be watching them for awhile
A lot of us enjoyed the organic growth of the team. We had four solid guys who the Suns developed and made it to the Finals with. We were hoping we could build off of that. Instead, they trade 2 of those 4 guys, for KD. I get it, it's KD. But now we only have two guys that are homegrown, and many fans don't even like the other one because he was drafted ahead of Luka. So Suns fan are in a tough position. Also, a position that we aren't used to, Suns don't typically get star players like this. It almost feels like this isn't our team anymore.
Anyway, I'm rooting for the Nets, I think you guys got a lot of depth, and Bridges is actually a better 2 than a 3, and Cam is a better 3 than a 4 (Suns had them as 3 and 4 since we got CP3 and Book). Good luck the rest of the year!
agreed 100% with this post, always thought we had Bridges and Johnson playing out of position but with position less basketball its not as big an issue as it used to be, but both those guys used to defer too much to book and Cp3

They pounded the air out of the ball with Dinwiddie then asked him to make something happen with the shot clock running down. I hope Vaughn learns to just run a more traditional offense in the final 6 minutes or so to generate good shots for all the shooters currently on the team.
it'll be disappointing if that's how the rest of the season plays out. Dinwiddie hero basketball is not only inefficient it does nothing for the team long term.

100% agree but i think part of starting DFS was to have more size vs embiid (and defensively he did help make an impact with his length).
DFS should come off the bench when Bridges/CJ rest to take their assignments and then again as a lock down guy in certain matchups. O'neale offers more offense.

whoaa the refs really gifted that one to Philly lol geez the NBA really is getting even worse with this. This is why ppl think the game is rigged. Our 13 free attempts to their 30? give me a break. All Embiid and Harden has to do is snap their heads back it's ridiculous

Really like where you guys are headed. A lot of good players on that roster. Nice pivot by your FO / ownership.

I was surprised he didn't get the call.Revived wrote:Cam Johnson shoots 45% from 3 and has one of the quickest 3pt shot releases in the NBA. And he was being guarded by Tobias Harris who is an atrocious defender.
Would’ve liked a play for him instead.

With no chance for a championship, I don't understand why JV didn't give enough minutes to Cam T., especially during the scoring drought.
I think there's long term benefit for him to play these close games, and learn to how react and make decisions.
Maybe JV is thinking we're still after a ring?

Not enough from him. He fouls too much.

Dinwiddie needs to set the table. All that dribbling does nothing for us. We need better play at that position

I think a lot of it is evaluating the new guys and their fit. We have a potentially expensive decision to make on Johnson. We have a lot of depth that will likely be consolidated, so we need to decide who to move and who to keep. I expect a lot of experimentation and focus on the new guys.

Watching Mavs vs Kings and there is one guy I might miss
Kessler Edwards if he ever develops, not the one in Mavs uniform

Hope this team has a new HC in the offseason. Not sure I want Marks back either but won't be pissed if he's gone.
The team has some really good pieces in place.
A player like SGA would be perfect for this roster.

It’s hard to judge Vaughn by todays game , and against Nash as measuring stick ( anybody is better than Nash) I see a lot of good qualities in JV , let’s see what he can do with this roster first before calling for his head

Relax bros... No reason to turn on Vaughn that quickly. Could he have done some things better? Sure.
But let's give him a little bit of a leash. Early results have been promising despite the loss...

I've been out on JV for awhile. His flaws can be covered up by KD but they are apparent way more in a team like this.

This might be excitement talking but I say we are top 4 in the East with SGA at point.
The cohesiveness and intelligence on defense despite having 0 practices together was really impressive.

The team hasn't even had a full practice since the trade and we had 4 new players starting together. We nearly beat one of the conference's best teams, and yet ppl want Vaughn fired? Ok

Not enough from him. He fouls too much.
He only committed one foul & it was a bogus call that should have gone against Harden
He also completely shut down Embiid when he was on the floor as Joel seems to have a brain explosion when matched up against Simmons plus the offence was far more fluid when he ran the floor
I understand why JV gave minutes to the new guys but he completely blew the game in the last few minutes
Current version of Simmons is many levels above Dinwiddie as a ball handler/defender & they also needed Cam to do his thing
ONE field goal in the last 6 minutes while allowing Embiid to walk to the line is atrocious
Integration of new players is important but not at the expense of a comfortable victory
