Cmon man, wtf
Lucky to win tonight….sad
Tobi took 9 shots and went 1-9.
Tobi in the last 4 games shot 13-44 or 29 FG%.
Not sure what's the story there. Could be just a slump or dude is just a bum vs better teams coz we played Knicks twice, Celtics and Nets during this stretch.
If the latter is ture, we are cooked and Tobi needs to sit in the playoffs coz all he will be doing is **** on both ends of the floor vs good teams.

Harris will be alright, but it's been frustrating with him over the last few games. I'll support him for as long as he's a Sixer, but I'm not going to shed a tear if we end up moving him this summer. If the Lakers can somehow find a way to trade Russell Westbrook, then I think we'll have no problem doing so with Harris in the off-season.

We need an actual point guard on that second unit who can drive and distribute. Milton is great when a bunch of guys are out and he just goes into one man team mode, but he’s not a point guard in a limited role, it just doesn’t fit him.
If there are no better bugs out there I would roll with Reed and some PJ, plus Harrell works against some teams in the regular season. PG and wing scoring and athleticism should be the targets in the buyout market.
Gotta question the health of Tobi and Melton right now.

Is there such a thing as an actual point guard anymore?

Watch Harden orchestrate the offense versus anyone else on the team and that question answers itself, passing and penetrating.

This was a steal.. Again, never looked like we could win it, but somehow turned up our defense and slowly crawled back into it..
Like I said last week, looks like we're loosing some of our juice..
Besides Joel, Harden and Maxey stepping up, everyone else is in a some kind of a slump. Tobias invisible, Niang struggling with his shooting, Shake struggling to get to his spots, no production from backup centers, and Melton seems a bit tired..
We're going to have to give some rest to Harden and Joel at some point..

Oh by the way, the Nets have a bright future if they don't mess up this team again..
The new guys have brought some great fresh chemistry.. Bridges is my favorite non-Sixer player in the league. What were we thinking I can't even imagine.
Simmons already out of the starting line-up. His career is going south so fast.. Kind of feel sorry for him. From being an all-star point guard, to backup center at the age of 26, you gotta be doing something wrong.

Having Maxey, Milton and Niang giving you 30-40pts is such a weapon for this team.
If he starts, he’ll just be a floor spacer with the starting unit. Take note that we usually just let Embiid do his thing with the first quarter, so the conflict will be with Embiid and Maxey.
This starter vs bench thing sounds more like a guy looking after for his career than for the team. Sorry for the Maxey hardcore fanatics out there. And if he’s not gonna put the team over himself, then we better shop him in the offseason.
This is best for him and for the team.
Your are a little obsessed with Maxey.

Maxey on the bench is good for the team but only in the short term. Again, we need to look at the big picture, if we feature him now that we can, he will command a more attractive trade package.

Shooting slumps happen. It’s just unfortunate that it’s hitting the whole roster right now. It’ll all normalize eventually (I hope lol).
I do think we should start adding more off ball movement for Maxey. He’s not a good iso or PnR player right now but he’s got speed, energy, and shooting. We should leverage his best qualities by getting him moving.

Happy to see Reed getting the backup minutes for two games in a row. Not sure if he's the answer, but it definitely isn't Trez. Worth a try and see if he can find the role and some rhythm with the team prior to the playoffs.

I just want to address the “Maxey has to start” sentiment. I think Maxey off the bench is the best for the team. Because my team has no scorer off the bench. And Maxey’s role on offense is reduced with the starters. Lets not forget how bad the body language was with the starters when Maxey started early in the season. Tucker was frequently in his ear on defense while he was getting usage away from Harden and Embiid.
Embiid likes to cook in the first quarter. That wont happen if you have Maxey. And I dont know why anyone wants Maxey to start when we have one of the best starting units in the league. While Maxey off the bench gives our team one of the most potent bench in the league.

Reed and McDaniels on the floor was so nice.

At what point will the organization admit that PJ isn’t a starting caliber player? It’ll be a sign of the inmates running the asylum if we’re willing to move Maxey to the bench but PJ continues to start because he was “promised” the role or some other BS.

Yeah that was a hell of a good look. I can't remember the last time we had two hype active athletic players in the frontcourt at the same time.

Now, if you guys think McDaniels should start over Tobi or Tucker, that I can understand.
But I think we plan to pair Niang w/McDaniels like Tucker w/Tobi.

I think McDaniels should start over PJ for sure. PJ then mixes between a back up 4/5 depending on the situation.
PJ might have his occasional high minute games (vs Jokic for example) but he’s not nearly productive enough to get 25-30 mpg on a consistent basis.

Meh...I think we almost have to keep starting Tucker. He does still defend well and he's been money lately from three. I think adding McDaniels allows us to at least lower the minutes that Tucker is playing. He gives us a lot more flexibility than Thybulle did. Again, I hated to see Thybulle go, but he was strictly a matchup chess piece the same way Harrell is. You use him in hopes of him making a big play in order to change the momentum. More times than not, it didn't work out. Especially in the playoffs. I think McDaniels not only takes the load off of Tucker, but he's a consistent play on any night due to his versatility and athleticism.
