so, in the idiot mad rush to judgement of the internet age, and after the Blazers have been tried, convicted, and condemned by innuendo and speculation including what may very well be a false story about Toradol injections....
Josh Hart takes the time after his first game as a Knick to defend the Blazer organization:

love that guy and I'm really sorry the Blazers couldn't hold onto him

Re: GP2?
Apparently Hart made a statement during his postgame interview tonight and said the Blazers are a class act organization.

keep in mind that Goodwin is Dame's agent too. I think there's an excellent chance that Dame called the agent, asked if the Toradol allegation was true, and when told it wasn't asked the agent to put that into the public

Payton just seems more and more of a jerk to me, apparently was not well liked by Blazer players, good riddance

Which players said they didn't like him? He always seemed to be having fun on the sidelines with the players.

Toradol injections is not the problem though. This is 2 years in a row that Cronin has traded someone who failed a physical. His staff should have done better so they would not get surprised and Cronin should have done better communicating his side of things to the fans. As for Josh Hart, I am really going to miss him being a Blazer.

who failed the physical last season?
Larry Nance Jr. The issue was resolved with a change in conditions on a draft pick.

yeah....I'm going to say that's wrong
New Orleans waived the physical for Nance. Hard to fail a physical that wasn't performed. IIRC he'd been out for a month before the trade. Just checked, he was injured on Jan 5 and traded on Feb 8. The Pelicans knew he'd fail the physical so they didn't require it

Re: GP2?
Would love to have heard the conversation between the Blazers and Warriors. Surely they knew Payton had surgery over the summer and missed a significant part of the season, only playing in 14 games since coming back. What questions did the Warriors ask that would lead the Blazers to withholding information about the injuries? We know the injections was a lie based on Payton's agent speaking out. Who is embellishing the story? I'd like to see some names tied to "a source."

They negotiated a change in draft pick conditions before waving the physical to allow the trade to be completed. The surgery was after the trade.

If I remember correctly it was a future protection change to the draft pick that later got moved to Detroit for Grant.

ok...I don't see where that was related the Nance injury other than both sides knew he was injured at the time
Return to Portland Trail Blazers
