I think adding McDaniels allows us to at least lower the minutes that Tucker is playing. He gives us a lot more flexibility than Thybulle did. Again, I hated to see Thybulle go, but he was strictly a matchup chess piece the same way Harrell is. You use him in hopes of him making a big play in order to change the momentum. More times than not, it didn't work out. Especially in the playoffs. I think McDaniels not only takes the load off of Tucker, but he's a consistent play on any night due to his versatility and athleticism.

Im good either way. McDaniels also seems like the perfect fit with Reed and Niang. He also helps improve the dribble drive offense of our second unit

Just looking at the numbers, McDaniels beats PJ on basically every metric and adds length/athleticism to a lineup that desperately needs it. I can understand not wanting to shake up chemistry but at some point in the near future the production gap is going to be too large to ignore.

It's hilarious that this board was up in arms over the Thybulle trade when it's so obvious Jalen McDaniels is a better all around player that can actually play in the playoffs. I know it's one game, but he clearly isn't a clueless offensive player like Thybulle was. And he's a threat to shoot the ball.

In four years I have never seen Thybulle shoot a 3 with as much ease as the one Jalen took lastnight.
always a jump shot away.

McDaniels sucks!

Just trying to get out ahead of things once the honeymoon period is over.

Should have traded for his brother.

I'd rather still have the Hornets pick.

I got mind control over Jalen. When he plays, I be quiet. When he leaves, I be talkin again.

Lucky to win tonight….sad

Tobi took 9 shots and went 1-9.

Tobi in the last 4 games shot 13-44 or 29 FG%.

Not sure what's the story there. Could be just a slump or dude is just a bum vs better teams coz we played Knicks twice, Celtics and Nets during this stretch.

If the latter is ture, we are cooked and Tobi needs to sit in the playoffs coz all he will be doing is **** on both ends of the floor vs good teams.

He's in a slump but..
Tobi is a tweener with average athleticism, struggles against length and athleticism been saying that for awhile now. He's supposed to be a natural scorer but if you put the right defender on him he is easily neutralized.
He showed who he really was as a player 3 seasons ago when the celtics swept us and not only did he disappear he struggle shooting but he couldn't do anything defensively as well. It was alarming to watch such fraudulence after receiving the max.

Jalen mcdaniel will have his fair share of games where he makes a frustrating play or 2 but one things for sure he's going to play with energy, defend and not be a complete 0 offensively. This is already refreshing to know.

The NBA is saying the play in which Harden blocks Dinwiddie from making a pass in the sideline was actually a foul. lol

We went super lucky in the game, totally out of character for this team.
